DOTM Sideswipe/Arcee WIP (Original Idea courtesy of Vidmouse) Vidmouse came up with a great Idea with his DOTM Sideswipe Arcee conversion. Mine is non-transformable (I removed the back pack) I also used a Polaris Head. I did this primarily to see if, 1: I could do it, and 2: To see how hard it would be. This is really just a brush work cludge WIP I did at work, I still need to splash some more pink paint on her. When I get another DOTM Sideswipe (and an airbrush) I'll do something a bit more better than my first attempt. Anyways, here ya go! As always I apologize for the image quality.
Thanks! As everyone knows when you decide to make a non transformable transformer (yeah I know, its a damn shame!) it gives you allot more freedom to mod than not. So I took advantage of it and narrowed the hips and shoulders for a more feminine look Again,Thanks to Vidmouse for the Inspiration!!
Well I splashed some more paint on her this morning and snapped a couple of pics one by herself and one with a Roddy WIP I am working on. She still needs ALLOT more paint on her and I SO need and airbrush! LOL Pay no attention to the human in the background
Hehe, I can se your reflection. Hello! ^^ The colors look really nice! Sure she still looks a bit bulky but femenine enough. Love the Rodimus too.
Being a different mold from Roddy, it won't work, but I can improvise and glue here, fabricate there I'll post what I come up with
I'd be real careful modding those legs... they're thin and could snap easily (my original Sideswipe had this problem happen, ugh) Good stuff so far
Took your advice G60Force and added a bit of my own thoughts into it. I took the "Frankenstein" feet off entirely and glued them to the fender/door wings on her back. rotated the supports all the way around and with ALOT of reading and some styrene, i'll fab some more appropriate feet for her, as of now she stands on her own alright. here's a pic (getting closer to G1 IMHO) thoughts? Oh and I don't think I'll be messing with the knees any, thanks for the input f-primusunicron and Vidmouse
Excellent work so far, Scott! I really like what you did with this and as you said, when working with "non-transforming", you can literally build or do anything to make it look even better. I'm the type that loves the transforming aspect still, but I also appreciate some great non-transforming stuff. Keep up the great work and looking forward to seeing more on this!
Thanks Brian!, means allot coming from a craftsman such as yourself! I should have some Roddy pics with the head you crafted soon Hope all is good on your end Bro! it's great to have a junker to experiment on before actually doing a final project, this'll help me get the colors, mods and bugs worked out
Sounds great, man! Can't wait to see what you do with 'em! lol (things are good, been sick--still am, but I'm hanging in there and still working on some projects here and there). Hope things are good with you, my friend!
