Here is my new Leader Optimus Prime, I really like the figure but I thought it would be even better with some detail work. Mostly I corrected a few spots that were the wrong color, and then gave all the robot bits a wash with flat black, and then drybrushed everything with silver. I wanted to dirty up the robot a bit, and keep the truck fairly clean, just like in the movie, though I did do a wash on the truck grill. I would love to chrome all the truck parts that needed it, and add all the teal pinstriping on the flames, but that is still beyond my skills right now. Still I am really pleased with how he looks in robot mode. Oh yeah I almost forgot, I cut two tiny notches in the track that the front chest moves along, so now I can take them in and out without feeling like something is going to break every time I transform him. I also really liked how all the details inder the sleeper turned out, even though you hardly see any of it. This was a pretty fun project, though the pictures don't really do him justice, they were a bit grainy, so you loose some of the detail.
Looks good, I'm hoping I can commissions a set of decals for the flames that will have the itty bitty teeny tiny pinstriping in it *coughf_rcough*... Lol, if I get him to do it hed probably sell you a set too. I don't see why not. Iregaurdless what ýouve done looks, well.. Pardon the pun, but prime..
