Not much bashing but alot of repainting here. got my hands on the Legends Class RoTF Springer. He yelled powerglide to me so I went for it. Based him flat black then went over him in Gore Red. Then drybrushed Bloodred on top. washed with a transred/black mix that make a very dark red. After that I used a light drybrush of Mithril Silver for wear. Used a similar method for the grey sections. Used fortress grey as the first coat over the black then codex grey. I topped it off with a light brush of Black/silver combo.
That looks great !! I haven't picked this sucker up yet, do the engine/props rotate to the up position? Also I think this works better as Powerglide than Springer! Great lookin' figure!
Sorry Hank they are stationary. If they would I would love to have done another Highbrow! Thanks for the comment!
I love the paint job, but the blue window seems out of place. I know you're limited in what you could do with it. It just seems to stand out when he is in bot form.
Are you sure? The back of the packaging, iirc, showed them as being rotated upwards at some point during transformation.
I have the figure, and no they can't rotate vertically. if you filled in the hollow areas on the bottom side of the wings with putty, you ought to be able to put a tiny screw in there horizontally after you cut them to give yourself a rotating joint to allow that though. Bonus: this would give arm rotation above the elbows.
uh, no, you can't. you can fold the hands, yeah, but the engines can only face forward, not rotate up (which is what everyone is talking about because an Osprey's engines rotate for Vertical TakeOff and Landing)
problem is that everyone else was saying "propellers" as short-hand for the whole thing, so when you came along and said that, it's misleading to those who don't know any better.
