They didn't seem to understand the mission timer either it seems, as they falsely claimed it makes you rush to finish missions. Hello people, it's counting UP, not down.

    That, too.

People seem to not understand that you DON'T HAVE A TIME LIMIT. You could take 20 minutes and the only penalization is that you lose the energon you earned through the mission. You can still finish the mission and continue.

I AM glad that they didn't see a problem with the transform/accelerate button, which seems to be a gripe with other reviewers.

I have REALLY warmed up to that, so much so I actually prefer it over the usual "Press Triangle/Y/Etc. to transform.".

Rented the game yesterday and just finished the Autobot campaign. I'm taking it back without even bothering with the Decepticon campaign. It's really just a shoot 'em up game, which is fine, but it really didn't go very far beyond that. The cut scenes back at Autobot HQ really disrupted the flow of the game. By comparison, Ghostbusters and X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the only other games I've played this summer, had a very consistent, seamless flow between missions and levels, which created kind of a cinematic experience. Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen just felt like mission, movie, mission, movie with no real flow at all. Of the three games I've mentioned, this one is a distant third.

Yeah, it sounded kind of odd to me when I first heard about it, but after I got a chance to try it out, I think it makes transformation feel like a more natural part of your character than any other TF game I've played.

Same. I LOVE the trigger control. It's so much more natural and IMO, you're in more control.

Why does Optimus look so weird? It looks like his head and shoulders are completely out of place... And who's that last robot?

They're all using the Long Haul frame on the PC. The Last pic is Long Haul's skeleton.

It's cause that the engine thinks it long haul, so it reformatted prime to the longhaullook, i don't know why.

the last pic is a Human Soldier stretched to Long Hauls Proportions, looks very cool i think!

I heard about the Jetfire mod over at GameFaqs. Although the guy who did it said that it causes a few problems.

The only review on this game I'll ever have to read:

Kotaku - Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen Review: Clench The Difference - Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Basically saying that multiplayer rocks, single player campaign is laughable, and transformation sucks. How the hell did they mess up the one thing that should have been the easiest (yet most important) aspect of the game? I agree with the Kotaku reviewer: transformation should have been assigned to one button (not trigger). Tap it once, transform. Tap it again, transform back, etc. Whoever thought holding the trigger to transform and then releasing it to transform back was a good idea needs to get fired. Fail.

News flash: The reviewers are the only people that have a problem with it.

Every single person in this thread hasn't had a single problem with transforming. Don't complain about it if you haven't tried it for yourself.

Also, single player, even though it's mediocre, is fun. The boss battle with Devastator especially.

So again, your better off getting opinions on the game from members like Counterpunch? instead of Kotaku and IGN, who are gonna harp and really trivial, stupid things.

Too bad kotaku is wrong. Gamespot gave the game a 7 out of 10 and xplay 3 out of 5.

Too bad kotaku is ....well kotaku. Ugh.

I like the transformation in this, the campaign mode is pretty decent imo. My only big gripe is the lack of presentation. They always at the base no real cut-scenes.
