Ok, a 4 on 4 battle before the DLC was pretty fun.

But NOW? A group of us just finished an hour-long battle of three 20 minute rounds and I have to say that was the most fun I've had with this game in a good while.

It was amazingly intense.

 

The chatter after mission depends on how many optional objective you complete. Completing none will say you are doing poorly, completing one will usually say you need some improvement, and completing both says you are doing well.

 

Geez, so that's how it comes out... I never knew that...

Platinum medals are tough as hell to get. I... actually still haven't beaten the Autobot Campaign.

 

I'm so close to dl the DLC from the UK store. But I don' t know if that would screw things up.

I NEED this DLC NAO! I just can't stand it any longer I need it. I NEED the characters. I NEED the maps. And I NEED that expert difficulty no matter how dumb it is. I just need the funds. Just going to convince my parents to actually pay me my allowance for doing my stinkin' work. I need the DLC, a couple of map packs for my other games, a new CoD WaW, Halo 3: ODST, Modern Warfare 2, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, a bunch of TFs and a bike and I only have 2 STINKING DOLLARS.

It wouldn't, you can download anything from any store to any Ps3. The problem is funds. Funds from one store won't count in another, and often there are limitations to how you can add funds. Like, it's impossible to add funds to the JP store from the US. You have to go through people in Japan to do it. Don't know all the details personally, or how it affects the UK store.

Oh, and yeah, the UK is on PAL, forgot about that. I'd probably suggest against it.

That's not how I've seen it work. Admittedly I've only really experienced it in WoW and Guild wars, but in both of those and every other online expansion I've heard of, people without it can play with those with it. It's not the same as a free sample. if you don't have the DLC, you can't go to the new areas, you can't go up the extra levels, you can't be a Banana Ninja or whatever new class is exclusive to the extra content, but you can still play the game with those that can. You can see how those with the extra content have an edge over everyone else, so if you really like the game and want to remain competitive, you buy the extra content.

What this has done is divided an already small online community. It's no wonder I wasn't able to find full team missions last night if this is what's going on.

It's not the fact it's PAL but the fact that DLC is region locked so it only works with the game from the region of origin.

Buying the euro DLC is simply wasted money.

Two weeks ago Live had an update around the time they normally release new stuff, so PSN isn't the only one that has lapse moments, we just happened to be on the receiving end of whatever it is they are doing right now (we as in Transformers fans, because other people are completely oblivious, and my friends look at me weird when I say "yay it's PSN Thursday", and well they should). And by us I mean the US store because UK was updated when I got home at 3PM yesterday.

 

Will it be update today?

 

As I recall (and this is based on my experience, not on speaking with someone) this has happened once before, where they didn't update the entire Thursday, but they updated on Friday, while I was at work, but on the PSblog they refer to thursday as PSN thursdays, so it's not like they sometimes choose to not release shit (and it's evident by UK being updated), so they are probably running late for some other reason, and like I said on the other thread, we're just feeling it because it's our baby we're waiting for, otherwise we wouldn't have even noticed.

edit: Dude, I just farted in my edit bay. DAMN I'm glad I'm the only one here until 8AM.

 

Well then. I sure hope it's today.

 

I'm going to work today, was on vacation for about a week. Keep me posted to anything on the update. I really hope it's up today. Too bad I don't know any Sony mods. Is the update done on west coast time or east? Or should I say is the update based on west or east coast time?

 

Once again would have been a good time for me to bring my PSP to work and do some remote play, but alas, I forgot. I'm checking the Blog, she should be updating shortly.
