A friend commissioned me to combine RotF Megatron and the Fallen. I sort of like/hate both of these figures, so I was interested in trying to distill them into one good figure. So far he's just bigger. And yes, the alt mode is just a shapeless mess, don't waste comments criticizing it unless you have ideas.
It looks great in my opinion, even the alt mode. At least it looks like it could go either way as a tank or a Cybertronian flying vehicle. Just either add some kind of large gun (tank) or change the wings slightly (flight) and you've got a winner on your hands. Then again, could do both and have him as a triple-changer
maybe it's possible to make some kind of scorpion or crab altmode, the legs could be the claws, since megatron already has a giant shell.
I was thinking about giving him an anteater sort of mold like the RotF Fallen figure, but a crab would be easier to pull off. I'd still like some kind of space dragon, though. I'm okay with passing on a tank mode if I can work out a solid space fighter mode. *Just played around with him a bit and yes, he does have a ridiculously bad ass looking crab mode since I added those feet. Thanks for the suggestion, I'm totally going for it. *Crab mode photos are up.
no such thing as foc rampage (yet) but could totally be protoform X. (pre bw rampage) Too bad I traded away my voyager megs, this is lookin' pretty cool so far. Maybe instead of rampage, go with gobots creepy?
ok, after getting him at that stage, I was fairly pleased, but the fallen's elbows are asinine, they kept falling off at the mushroom joint bicep swivel, so, I am working on a way to turn the now unused fallen's legs into arms and then see if I can figure out some way to make a fusion cannon drone or something out of other fallen/megatron parts I have. I know this is a little bit of a tender/rude thing to be doing, customizing a custom further, but I am not intending to undo any of your work minsok, I merely wanted to add on to it and hopefully upgrade it a bit more so he's an even better figure than what you came up with (which, aside from the flat rubber hands of the fallen, was better than either figure had been, I kinda hope I won't upset you too much as I still wanted to paint it a bit more to further separate him from the combined figure look, mainly by adding some more orange and possibly black or gunmetal at some point.
vehicle mode isn't that bad . as for robot mode i thing megatrons head works better but the he needs new feet possibly a modified hero factory set of feet, the chicken legs just kill the beefy look
If you want my opinion man the alt mode reminds me somewhat of Babylon 5, The shadow had these sentient ships that looked like alien spiders http://www.thejitty.com/images/428495/large.jpg if you could pulls something like that with the alt mode, and I think you can, it would be bad ass brother
hmm, that would be an interesting look, have him be some form of tank that is trying to mimic the shadows' ships... the trick would be getting enough spikes to work...
wou! good idea dude!... but you have considered a head swap? Te intire body looks cool but with that head still looks like Megatron ROTF... anyway, nice work, i want to see it painted.
