was there or wasnt there a Takara release of this figure? Database here does not list one but I have seen auctions for crazy prices for one claimed to be. Can anyone clarify?

Are Takara NEST toys not identical to Hasbro ones aside from some a few extra stickers on the packaging?

I can't say for sure, but other than the AOE line of old reissues and some Leader optimus Primes, most of the movie toys have been pretty much the same. There a a few examples of variances like Side Arms Sideswipe and HA Jazz, but they're far and few between. I have no memory of Lockdown being different.

    Mmmmmm, ROTF Lockdown.

Definitely my favorite version of the character by far.

I vaguely recall a few ROTF no screen time toys were just Hasbro's with japanese text stickers over the Hasbro cards and were pretty much just "USA Editions!" without being labeled as such.

Yeah there were quite a few like it. I'm pretty sure all the NEST figures were.

I looked into this a couple years ago and there was a Takara version released, but it was just the US packaging with a Japanese NEST sticker. No toy differences as far as I could discern.

Quite a toughie t find at a reasonable price too, especially MOSC.

    All the best

After accepting that they were gone from shelves everywhere, I lucked out and finally found one at the back of the peg in a grocery store!
Liked it so much I got the Axor repaint.

Lockdown is still on display, borrowing Axor's nice shiny silver engine block/EMP generator.

Man, they really should've found a way to make this mold or engineering work for AoE Lockdown. If nothing else, for the height boost alone.

They should've used this whole design for AOE Lockdown period. :)
