I'm so excited to have this guy finished! I've had him since probably '10 but I've just recently started painting (he’s my third project) and really wanted to add the many details that he was missing. I kept thinking I was done but then I would realize there was "one more" detail I wanted to do, and on and on. The only obvious last detail would be the silver around his windshield but for some reason I don't want to do it. I'm just ready for him to be done.
I painted all his chrome parts a metallic silver because I'm not ready to try chrome paint. I added all the blue lights by hand. Added flames. The ones on the roof were important to me. It always bugged me that they started so far up on the roof, so I just painted over in blue and put new flames on to look more like the movie.

I got from Shapeways his smokestacks so I could paint them to match, and also Fakebuster's awesome Movie Accurate Hands.

After replacing the hands I didn't want to put the swords back in, and I wasn't really sure what to do with them until one of my 7-year-olds suggested I trimmed them down so he could hold them. So I did!

I've already made this way too long, but please look through and tell me what you think!
By the way, am I just dumb? Does everybody realize his calf pieces fold out a little in robot mode? I never new until last week.

    Knew about the calves. :D

And holy cow, that's beautiful. It's the kind of detailing I just suck at. You made it look factory original. Great work.

Well done. Knew about the calves. Did you paint the flames or are they labels?

Thanks! I actually painted the flames. I went around and around about how to do it, but ended up basically taping off the flame shapes using tape that I cut out, then painted.

Good work mate, the added detail and paint apps makes all the difference.
