Yeah it's true guys. I have them both on my table ROTF Leader Optimus USA version and Europe version. I am from Czech Republic, so we have there only EU ver. and we discovered really big change in voice.

US OP says: "I am Optimus Prime", but EU OP says only "Optimus Prime". Yeah it's really sux. And Megatron have this change too, US Megs says: "I am Megatron" but EU says: "Megatron hahahahaha"! So be carefull where you buy this figures!

I wonder why the change?

 

language barrier and to save money. so for france they would have to re record it sayin "Je suis Optimus Prime" or whatever the french is, and so on for each and every eu language.

same reson why the back of our boxes sucks aswell. bio has been limited to a single line and the stats bars have been removed so they can have the minimal bio in each language on the same box. cost cutting

First time we have a video comparison though.

Now I need to import mine from overseas, the US voice is much better imho.

 

Canada/USA version: I AM SPARTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAa
Europe/etc version: SPARTA!.

not saying I disapprove this thread though, these 2 topics have disappeared from the first couple of pages, and it's always nice to let other people know.  

 

I wouldn't mind if the new voice clip made sense. As is, having Prime call out his own name is just confusing. Just have him cry out "Sam!" in a panic or something.

 

I have the Takara one right here and it still says "I am Optimus Prime". F**k me sideways.... 

 

Well what will be saying EU Jetfire? Maybe " Jetfire aaach" or something  . And what about Devastator? He have three prhases!

 

Europe Prime: "Oi, what the 'ell mate? Pushin' me bloody chest button!"
America: "Hey, what the f*ck? Why you pokin' my chest?!"

 

Ah man! Why wouldn't he say "Watashi Wa Battle Convoy!" in an awesome Japanese voice!?

 

Actually, for probably the first time in the Japanese fandom, Movie Prime IS called Optimus Prime in Japan, on the toys and such at least. At least I know that was the case for the first movie.

 

I just got the Euro version. I can live without the "I am". It's not worth the cost of importing for the sake of 2 words.

And I haven't got either Megatron yet, but I think the Euro version's voice clip is clearly better.
