So I'm really stumped on which Megatron to buy, I absolutely do not want to buy both of them. However, I can't make up my decision. From what I've seen they are both pretty good toys, I have not seen the Voyager yet in stores but I don't want to buy the Leader just because I can't find the Voyager. I know there are folks out there that have both or one of them. What is your overall opinion on which is the better toy to buy?

 

Personally I'm waiting til I see the movie and see more of both modes for megatron. Then I'll pick whichever one seems most movie accurate. I'm still not all that impressed with the movie megs toys. After wasting money on the first movie megs, it's possible I won't buy any ROTF megs.

 

The voyager has the back kibble but is Much more accurate in his right arm claw. And the shoulders are more proportionate to the way he looked in the movie.

 

I'm just going to go ahead with the Voyager. It is a close call for me, but the Voyager has the better headsculpt IMO and actual articulation in the cannon arm. The Leader looks pretty good but not 20 dollars better. I'll probably wait for it to go on sale somewhere, and maybe I can end up with both.

 

Leader.

He has much better tank mode, and it extreamly satisfying, both in robot and throughot transformation. The voyager may have a nicer arm but the giant cannon and massive leadder class are just too good to pass up.

Id deff go with the leader, i think its a great toy in both modes. One of the better movie toys I have brought.

 

Thanks guys, that's really helpful. I'm more then likely going to go with the Voyager Megatron for now (if I can fricken find the damn guy), if not after a week or so I will just give in and buy the Leader.

Well, I haven't even seen the Voyager size one, but the Leader size one is REALLY cool. He even has the greatest voice chip: "I AM MEGATROOOON!!!!


I haven't attempted to transform him yet though, so my opinion might change =P.

Oh and his left arm's articulation (or lackthereof) leaves a lot to be desired.

 

Voyager, for 2 reasons. Better headsculpt, and articulation. I like the leader, but the lack of articulation in the arm is pathetic. Only knock on the Voyager is the color, I think his altmode is cooler tho less accurate.

 

I don't have the Voyager but, my 2 cents:
1- Leader is better for the sole purpose of being in scale with Leader Prime, who is definitely better than the Voyager.
2- Leader has accurate colors. If you want the Voyager, at least wait for a grey or silver repaint.

 

I bought the Voyager Megatron first but I don't know why he is greenish. I will get the Leader Megatron later bec. I know it will be around for many more months.

 

Man, a silver repaint of the Voyager would look fantastic.

 

Voyager looks LOTS better too me. They made the leader class cheaply (the whole grey and black, thats it scenario)

 

In an effort to promote diversity I'll go with FAB or legends....any way on a serious note Leader all the way. I sort of liked the voyager more but after getting the awesomeness that is leader prime I knew I wouldn't be happy with a voyager megatron.

 

If given the choice of only one, I'd get the leader class version. But I intend to buy both.

 

Last year I bought both Leader Megatron and Prime from the first movie. I am debating myself if I should buy another ROTF Leaders Megs and Prime.

But I like the looks of the ROTF Leader Megs more than the first one.

 

I'm guessing there will be premium repaints

 

leader, i think hes big and a bad dude so he needs that big size and the sound sells me
