was anyone else disappointed with this toy as much as i was? he only had one hand and that hand barely had any articulation at all. in the tank mode, the cannon stuck up too far above the chassis. and his cannon was too big as well. so i decided to play doctor and fix him up. i used hands from ROTF deluxe Wheelie, i saved the elbow joints from Wheelies arms so Megs could have better articulation. the cannon is part of the BFG that came with Cybertron Optimus Prime. i also gave Megs a paint job. i wanted a weathered look since he had been at the bottom of the ocean for so long.
Well damn.. Guess I'll be buying a deluxe wheelie after ll.. Nice work dude!! But uh, why didn't you glue the left hand in plaace?? Or is the twist tie fosthetic??
it is actually glued but i also added the Twist ties to sort of look like wiring detail. i am probably gonna paint them a copper color sometime.
Dude thank you so much for posting this! I used your basic idea and ran with it and it improves Megs so much it isn't funny! Now I just need another NeoShifter thumb and I can make him a better gimp arm I'll post Pics when I'm done
Can you post some closeup pics or something of his gimp arm? I'm really liking it and would like to copy it to some degree, it probably one of the best "gimp arm" fixes i've seen.
