its been awhile since i've posted anything new.. ive been busy with various customs and havent really had the time to take some decent pictures (my camera still sucks). anyhoo... here's a sample of what i've been working on. the most recent is the ROTF leader megatron. the mechalive feature turned out to be a mecha-headache when putting the figure back together   leader megs probably has over 200 pieces. im so glad i took plenty of pics and notes when i took this bad boy apart  

im going to admire the chrome for now before i hit it up with some black-chrome and gold details.

other projects i've been working on are 07 movie leader prime, animated blurr, animated nemesis blurr (revenge of blurr), samauri prowl, and finally animated sunstorm (late addition  )

enjoy the pics, i'll do separate threads and full galleries of each figure as soon as i get the chance to take more pics..

damn thats sexy....glad your the first with the ROTF leader Megs on the board with a custom...out so quick, unlike ones i seen with ROTF voyager Megs....you just went out above the rest with a leader version...and in chrome...damn...

Damn, those figures look nice with chrome!   How did you go about getting the chrome on them? It doesn't look like its sprayed....

he's actually answered those questions before, in his other project threads. Poor guy, I'm sure he's asked them a lot. I'd look up his other threads.

I believe he mentioned it being Alclad , just he did something "special" to the fig.

 

That cant be alclad..i thought he was the one who did the vacuum metalizing.

 

Bomba has about 20 threads each describing his process. He uses Alclad, Alsa and vacuum.

Nice job. I contemplated chroming one of the "pallet jumped" megs I have here, but see a lot of detail that would get lost. While I love chrome as much as the next guy, it hurts my eyes looking at him like this.

But, then again, it's your signature, and they look sweet. You need to get that chrome to gold, then lucky draw collectors will be banging down your door.
Sunstorm looks awesome though.

 

That doesnt look nowhere near as good as his, although it is nice, i can see the usuall alclad flaws.

Killer chrome is made by alsa corp. very pricey make sure you have your work lined up before use!

My bad, thought you were new to customs. Not many people know of Alclad right off the bat. It's great stuff though. Perhaps the photo settings make sideswipe appear to have "flaws"

Here's another Alclad (sorry to derail your thread, but we all share the love and desire for perfect chrome)
