Same old, same old. Nothing major, just silver over the supposedly silver areas, some gold and other touch ups. :D

Looks really great. One thing hasbro dropped the ball on was accurate paint apps. Why make the neck thing bright red? The entire figure would look a zillion time better in a deeper red. One quick thing you can do to drastically improve the paint scheme.... is paint the plates on the insides of the legs bottom red also, like here:

With the right paint job this mold will look very movie accurate, but it will take a while for many of us to do it if we want it to look right. I'm currently painting mine, but don't expect to finish robot mode till next week. Truck may take longer. I may put up some in progress pics though.

I fell in love with this mold when I saw it, and now that I HAve it, it really is one of thee best Transformer Toys to come out in a while. And you paint apps just look awesome on it! Really makes him come alive!

for sure. I'm looking at the CGI pic (I posted in GD) and it's amazing how accurate the little details are. A few minor things were missed, but of all the TFs I've ever painted, this takes the cake for detail. You can easily spend a year painting it all up.

I recommend clear red and turn signal amber for the blades, it's what I plan to use.

Looks so much better! Did you have to disassemble the entire thing to paint him? I imagine so. I'd love to see someone do a full repaint, making the red and blue deeper and more rich looking; that'd be a real challenge because you'd have to recreate or paint around the flames and the orange gradient on the front of the truck.

How well does the paint hold up when you transform him?
