    Another crappy Megatron

Oh if only they would have invested the same time and energy that they did for Leader Class ROTF Optimus Prime into this new Leader Class Megatron. Maybe they would have something cool. Again another failed movie Megatron Transformer. One of the biggest annoyances with the first movie toy was the head being exposed in alt mode. You would think that they would hide it this time around? Nope. I'm sure some will love him but it's not for me.

I didn't watch it all the way through, but did you mention why it seems you didn't transform his feet/toes?

So when you buy these from the guy who steals them from a factory do you pay more than $40 to get it early or is it less than $40 because its not a final product?

Thanks for the review. I am not getting this figure though. I just don't like it. He looks awesome in the movie, it just didn't translate to toy form that well. Those black tabs near his knees are a real eye sore and its too bad that they don't fold up.

Count me as one of those who's unimpressed with this toy. That's good because I don't want a reason to buy ROTF toys since I put a quota on myself on the # of toys I am buying this year.

Oh, I'm sure Hasbro will come up with some way to bring out a "premium" style toy. They have to make that money, right?

Edit: I'm in the process of watching the video. Wow, the face showing on this toy is worse than on the last movie Megatron. I thought they were trying to improve here? Still think the gimp arm is lame. And rubber treads would've been awesome. Other than that, he looks pretty good. I don't think I'll buy him, but pretty good nonetheless.

Well Megatrons not really looking to disguise himself, so why hide his head?

Anyway I gotta say, this guy really sucks! I don't know how Leader Prime can look so cool, while this guy is crap, but then again it's mainly the arms that I find terrible, not the fig itself. The spindly arm is in the movie if I remember correctly(UGH) so I can't really blame Hasbro for that one, but that cannon arm? There's no excuse for them NOT giving it an elbow, I mean c'mon.:rolleyes2

6:52, I show off the toes and then explain why I fold them back up.

Why Hasbro continues to make unimpressive leader class figures for megatron ? I will never know.

I am sick and tired of all these lame excuses M. Bay and Hasbro keeps on making for megatron's lackluster design.

Do they think we care whether he was made from scraps, or rolled off an assembly line ?
Should we care that he was frozen underwater in the pacific ?
Does it matter that he "feels no need to hide his face"

No. None of that matters one bit, when me and my little bro are watching this and he says:
" why is his head showing from the tank, that's lame"

Sometimes children can be so smart !

The bottom line is, for a toy, representing one of the main villians.. this is very lame !

Not a bad figure of Megs. Not the best but not bad. I will more than likely get this one because I am more about scale. The voyager looks nicer but I can not have Optimus Prime fighting a midgit. If that was the scale of the Aubotbot's greatest enemy Poter C. Powell may as well be the leader of the Autobots. Hell...Starscream would have offed that little Megatron long ago.

Anyway...I like this figure enough to want one. I do not mind the head being exposed because that is true to the design.

...I never said the design was awsome, but it is true to the design.:bay

BW, TM, TM2, MW, RID, Armada (and Energon, to some extent) Megatron were also lame figures imo and Bay had nothing to do with them. I for one dig the cybertronian modes they gave him. For once he looks menacing.

    What?!

TM Megatron is a work of art!

(Except for the crumbling-to-dust-GPS-suffering brown plastic)

Like others have said, this design doesn't work as well as a toy, but then as has been mentioned on another thread it looks like the leader figure is based on an early concept while the voyager is closer to the final CGI.

Loving the paint apps on your Prime though Peaugh - it really wouldn;t have taken much for hasbro to at least have molded those red bits on the feet and shoulders in the silver-grey in the first place, but i'm sure it wouldn;t have taken much to add the extra blue. I'd be tempted to paint my own Prime when I get him, but don't trust myself not to bugger it up completely!
