Arguably, it's the Avatar film getting a boost from RotF, because outside of kids and ... well... us, who knows about Avatar: The Last Airbender?

Especially as, from what I've heard, Avatar fans are irked at the whitewashing of the characters.

Whoa! I knew this film was coming, but I definately did not know it was already in production and...well...mostly done.

    I am pleased. :)

EDIT: Oh, it is only the teaser trailer. Looks like the movie only just started shooting. Still cool to get a teaser trailer though.

Yeah, Avatar is getting a Promotional Boost from Revenge of the Fallen, not the other way around. I've heard of Avatar, damn near watched the entire series with my sister (mostly "Fire" Arc). She is among the many legions of fans who are particularly happy that a bunch of Caucasians have been chosen to play the parts of Obviously Ethnic characters. I can honestly say I don't see the logic in that move either, autheticity-wise anyways. Makes me wonder how close to the show this movie will actually be.

Wait...Avatar movie? Isn't M. Night Shyamalan involved in that? If so, I will LAUGH my balls off if he made a twist ending to it.

Since most of the Avatar fandom hates the film (for good reason, IMO), I doubt it'll give RotF a boost.

    I'm still intrigued, though.

I know, that was my first thought when I clicked on the thread. Figured Cameron was giving ILM a boost with the Special Effects or something, given the title of thread.

No twist ending. Although Shyamalan is going to cast himself as the fire lord this time around.
