Another awesome-looking Movie Scout - I swear, most of these things look so much better then the Deluxe official movie autobot cars. I bet we can expect a repaint here, question is, will it be Beachcomber? IMHO the guns just would not fit for Beachcomber, I myself plan to repaint him to the Triggercon Ruckus (same dune buggy alt mode, flip-out guns).
It probably would be Beachcomber (as the head would fit quite well), but the guns would be firing some kind of non-lethal round. Yeah, chain guns of BUBBLES!
Looks like a great figure, I'd say this one will be a strong seller. His head is interestingly different, and I'm loving the adjustable cannons too. Only negative I can see is that articulation and posability is limited; his elbows doesn't appear to have balljoints and the vehicle panels on his forearms maybe won't allow much movement?
I've been impressed with most of the basics (Well Knockout and Reverb have that waist problem I'd rather not talk about) have been nice, but...This one is kind of pathetic. I don't know whether it's the lack of paint apps, or the...plain-ness of the mold. Looks like something outta Energon. Shoulda been more Bayformer. But then again, that's something these basics don't have. They're either BM or too much like Cybertron/Energon. Nothin' wrong with that, but...more detail on the molds plz.
Lack of paint apps? I was just gonna post the exact opposite. His vehicle mode is covered in them, and he has like 4 different paint colours on his head alone! Sure they probably could have saved a few for his legs, but I can live with it.
Interesting how KOtoys appears to intentionally pose stuff like dirt boss's wheels and dune runners cannons miss aligned. Perhaps in a effort to be different than how most would photograph them; by showing a alternate junky style of display. I like dune runner but if it was'nt for the shoulder cannons it would'nt be as high on my list. Repaint it as the decepticon Jeeper Creeper.

I think he looks better than the toasterbot. What makes the toasterbot cool is not so much how good it is, just the mere fact that they actually did it.
First disappointment - This character isn't named Beach Comber. I mean come on.. Dune Runner is like a name that would be used for the Go-Bot version? Potential Second disappointment - The repaint is blue/white and gets named Sand Cruiser... Overall I do really like the figure. The ROTF Scouts have been spectacular to far and I fully intend to pick this guy up once I see him. He might get bought twice, and painted.
