You take awesome pics Mike, but there is just no hope for this guy. Between the fact that his face has that "kicked puppy" look to it with his head in his stomach, and his pastel camo paint apps, it just fails on way too many levels for me.

Woohoo, another movie jet-former (that isn't just a repaint of the SS mold or some 'alien' vehicle)!

As far as the F-35 design appearing 'off', I don't think it's an issue of copyright. Lockheed Martin allowed use of the F-22 likeness for SS and they also produce the JSF.

I'm also at a loss when it comes to that 'easter egg' scheme...why? I just hope there will be a re-paint of some sort.

He's an F-35 JSF variant of some kind. Not sure what's up with the wings, since there's no liscensing for U.S. military aircraft, unless you want to put the manufacutrer's name on the box.

Sad bug eyed face, and a hunched back, yet I still find myself oddly drawn to it. Wonder if we'll get a Powerglide repaint....

It bugs me too, it strikes me more of Hasbro saying "Hey close enough!" as opposed to, a copyright issue. If I ever buy this mold I'm going to cut off some pieces of the wings to make them more accurate. It could easily have been avoided had the wings retained the correct shape to begin with. I don't expect anything close to 100% accuracy on a $10+ figure, but I expect the surface shapes to be at least right generally.

The mold itself other than that looks good in fighter mold. Definitely a step above TF1 Dreadwing.

Robot mode, don't know why it was decided to make this guy into a hunchback of some sorts. Especially when everything else is balanced well. I dig the arm cannon.

The colors are suspect too.

 

looks like the jsf/f-35, except the main wings are a little off. been waiting for that though

I have mixed feelings about this TF. The alt mode looks good, and the bot mode is original enough for him to stand out. But his head sculpt just doesn't fit. It throws the whole thing off.

 

One of those toys I want to like, but the hunchy posture, goggle face, and sasquatch feet prevent me from doing so.

I can't see it being a regular fig.

 

Nice toy. Horrid colors. Either the blue or green needs to go. Those two colors together do not go well with brown at all.
