So I'm just curious, am I the only one who thinks that the new ROTF Autobot bikes don't combine? I know its been stated by those who have received Chromia that she does have some extra hinges and what could be a connector BUT its also been said that neither the packaging or the instructions make any mention of combination. I find it very hard to believe that Hasbro would go to the trouble of making a set of combining figures without trying to cross-sell the heck out of them. Thoughts?
Well if arcee was not going to combined why would they make a new cgi model and toy model for her?. I think they will combined.
*SPOILES* supposedly the rotf novel comnfirms that they are 1 coheisive mind that is split between the 3 bikes. Think BW neo magmatron if you've seen any of that cartoon.
I can't recall off hand and can't verify until I get home and look at the Leader Prime instructions, but I don't recall seeing instructions on how to combine Prime with Jetfire. I can't remember even seeing any promotion on the box either. This may not be the same thing though. In the fembot case where each one would need to be Transformed a certain way to combine I would think the instructions may need to say that though. Prime/Jetfire case could be similar to the Prime combos from A/E/C where the combination instructions came with the other toy like Jetfire, Leobreaker, Wing Saber.
Well I know that there is what appears to be a connector socket on Chromia but it wouldn't be the first time that a figure had left over bits from a feature that didn't make the final cut. Just saying... For the record I really do hope they combine, I'm just finding it kind of suspicious so far that we haven't seen or heard anything about it aside from hearsay and the tidbits out of the novel. Add to that Bay's claim that Arcee gets snuffed early in the film.
I hope that they will combine..... Arcee, Chromia, and unknown biker-bot should combine into Elita-1.
there could be instructions on the 3rd and final bike the release. With combines, usually the instructions aren't shown until the final one comes out now. (i.e. Leobreaker, Wingsaber, Jetfire...)
We don't know for CERTAIN if they combine, but the slotflap thing on Chromia definitely isn't for either of her personal modes. It could be a leftover feature that couldn't be removed in time for the molds to be made, but the number of parts in it has me thinking that's unlikely.
