Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark Wii U and 3DS versions of Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark lack Escalation mode | Nintendo Everything
Just checked the price for the game. It's still the same as the PS3/360 versions even though it's lacking significant features. Activision really wants this game to fail on the Wii U. It isn't my money to burn thankfully.
Isn't the 3DS version a Super Robot Wars-styled RPG anyway? Why would it even have an Escalation mode to begin with?
Wii U never gets any love. The 3DS version is a completely different game, so I don't think anyone expected it to have the same modes.
Heard about this yesterday on WiiUForums.com These big 3rd party companies just want the games on Wii U to fail! >:[ This is why no one buys them cause they give us gimped versions for the same price like Ubisoft, EA (which they supported us the first few months then bailed), and Activision (of cores with things like CoD and now this). It's like do you support the Wii U versions and hope they add everything in the next game or do you almost boycott them and don't buy it cause they ripped us off!? It's so confusing, I want the game but should I really get it? Activision (and the others) suck for making you decide that.
As has been said, the 3DS is a totally different beast, not a shock at all. I'd be more shocked if it HAD escalation mode. As for the Wii U, that's just messed up. They're selling this as if it's on par with the other systems, yet it's missing a popular mode, and the only multiplayer mode in the game IIRC. It's really a shame the way third parties are treating the Wii U.
Love my Wii U but this is just BS because there is 0 reason to remove it other than sony or MS paid for it to be removed. Since the Wii U got mario kart 8 sales went up big and the new zelda is coming too which will help. So this makes me think that either other company is just trying to kill its cross platform sales to murder it and reduce the market to 2 consoles. Its really ok because this just confirms that this abomination of a game will never see the light of day for top sales. Its a bastardization of WFC and FOC just to make hasbro feel justitifed in tieing in the movie line. F@!# them if they think that the movie is some how related to the actual event and history of Transformers. I hope the HASBRO ceo has a near death experience and wakes up to realize how much of a douche he is pushing this crap on us. tooo harsh ??? lol sorry
Yes because if there's one game that Sony/MS should pay to remove features from it's Dark Spark. Come on.
You're just raising your own blood pressure for no apparent benefit. The Hasbro CEO is not likely even aware enough of TF continuity to know WTF you're complaining about, as he's just trying to make a buck (a very different goal from making a piece of art). Maybe you're mad because it bothers you that the Hasbro CEO can make so much money while simultaneously destroying something you love? I think the Wii (sorry, WiiU? ) is officially an afterthought, at this point in the game. Most likely, Activision wanted the game released quick (for the movie tie-in) and didn't care what got cut - WiiU features being least important based on how badly that console is selling. They ran out of time, WiiU gets the expected shaft. But like others have mentioned, it's not like the Wii/WiiU had extensive multiplayer to begin with, so is this something people are so shocked to hear, this late in the game?
