Yeah, Mechafire has it. If you want a decent movie game, go play ROTF, and if you want a decent Aligned game, go play WFC or FOC.
I actually really like it. Only a few levels in but I'm really enjoying it. Played one of the escalation maps through last night and it's far better than either of the previous escalation incarnations.
Assuming you're in the US, it's available for ~$20 from a variety of sellers on Amazon. I can't imagine it should be too hard to find on eBay, either.
Graphics wise it looks the same as wfc, dotm, and foc. All characters from foc including the dlc ones are stock in this games as well as a few wfc characters, in addition you get 4 AOE characters. Although others may disagree I think its fun for what it is. If you like wfc, foc you should like this game but I'd suggest a rental or watching youtube videos before you decide to buy it to be on the safe side. Also escalation is now the only form of mp in the game all other mp modes have been cut
The graphics look ok. Don't worry. A little bit off topic but I just noticed this: While playing as Hound i started to realize that something was off about the character. I went back and played FOC again i realized that the camera is different in that game. This is what i'm talking about. You can actually see most of the character model now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYwAyyMOCbo This is crazy. why did High moon ruin the camera so bad for the second game?
No, 'cause these games are third-person shooters, and the right stick controls the direction the character's facing, rather than just the camera. ROTF was the last Transformers console game where you could do that, because the controls only go into third-person-shooter-mode when you hold down one of the shoulder buttons.
Because that was during a brief segment where Drift is performing a unique 'walk forward and look at the sky' animation - note that the HUD isn't on screen during that sequence. It's like a very short cutscene that you can control the camera in. During normal gameplay, the character always faces the same direction as the camera.
Okay, thanks for the helpfull info, Oh and I almost forgot...Does it need an install after all? I mean if you have it on a disc?
Hold on! HAVE YOU COMPLETED BOTH WFC AND FOC? If not, I suggest getting both of those first. Especially FOC, which is near identical, except better In every way. Since they're pretty old, their prices will be lower! Meaning you can get possibly get both for the same price of Dark Spark, and ANYONE here will tell you that's a better deal, and if you need someone to play with, there are plenty of people around here that can do that (I can't, I have an xbox). Also, from what I've heard, there is no Install.
You see, the truth is I'm buying RotDS because of the AOE characters! I'm not a big fan of WFC and FOC, but though I have never played them, I have to agree that the gameplay is awesome , but I'm a fan of the Michael Bay films and I liked ROTF and TF1 the games, so that's why I'm interested in RotDS.
I have some bad news for you, then... There's only 4 AOE characters, 6 if you include the Stinger DLC and Grimlock in the campaign.
I knew this. I've been after what happens with this game since a long time, but Bumblebee is in it and that's all I need, I like him and can easily say I don't care for the other AOE characters as much as I do for Bumlbebee!
