I googled it and that’s the date it gave me. That would be my local time though, so it must be Sunday the 12th in the US.
Maybe, but I take it that that shot is one of the shots that aren't very far along and not even close to being ready to show but they wanted a shot of Prime and Primal and they went with that one and it looks unfinished, janky, and rough. I really wish they didn't use that show cause that shot to me is the worst shot CGI-wise and was our first look at Prime and it just looks bad IMO.
Considering the first trailer performed really well for Paramount to the point besting Top Gun Maverick trailer views which was Paramount best peforming movie last year behind Avatar. I would say it already did capture the audience attention. Both positive and negative sides. The reviews and how the audience reacts to the movie when it hits worldwide theaters in june will determine its box office success or failure and the future of the franchise going forward.
Mirage. We haven't even seen control art of Mirage either, nor have we seen a mainline toy for him. I'm hoping we get to see the control art for Nightbird soon, we've seen Scourge's already. I think Battletrap's boxart is the control art.
It’s kinda funny we haven’t see much of Mirage despite him being the main kid appeal character of this movie. Like I get it, they want it to be a heal turn the audience doesn’t expect, but still. Part of having a new kid appeal character…. is marketing that character to children.
He's not the main kid appeal though. He's just the human companion and will probably as a result have extra screen time, however, Bumblebee is still the kid appeal character. Also, we did see Mirage multiple times in the trailer.
I mean he was kinda the robot who they showed the most in the first trailer especially in vehicle mode.
I don't understand why they changed Prime's design at all from Bumblebee. 1. It was perfect. 2. They didn't change it that much anyway, only like 10% (for the worse for some reason) 3. ILM's model was already done, so you didn't have to make it. MPC could have just ran with that and saved time/effort.
The CG will be improved, but we all know the full final CGI will be in the movie when it hits june. If the response to the movie is positive, I doubt the vfx not looking as great as they did in the Bay movies or most of Bumblebee will have an effect on the box office. Marvel CGI is mostly bad these days and they still keep making money.
