The resulting robot mode is neat but what kind of transformation is that? The gorilla mode just implodes on itself and in the next frame, he's magically a fully formed robot.

The transformation is maybe a little weird yes but idk I think it works for what it is being a 18 second quick little thing.

For now here's our best look at his bot mode in full view.

 

He looks really good, could use some color but overall looks good.

 

That transformation is.. interesting.

I really wanna like this guy because I think his design is mostly decent, or maybe I'm still traumatized by what happened to Wheeljack and cutting this one some slack because there's at least a visible attempt to emulate Primal's look. At the very least I'm greatly curious by how the toys turn out.

Also Ron Perlman Primal sucks.

 

The design is pretty neat, I like that it's still recognizable as Primal, while still doing it's own thing.
Yeah, colors are mainly grey, though to be fair, the OG Primal I would say is pretty muted compared to the rest of the BW cast.

 

In POTP kinda but idk how but somehow they also made Mark Hamil sound boring. He sounded better in just 2 lines in the trailer than all of POTP to me at least.

 

I hope no one shook his hand during recording.

Were you watching the game on Nick? This seems like something they’d do specifically on the Nick coverage to grab the kiddies’ attention, like all the wacky trademark slime bits. So it wouldn’t show up if you were watching on grownup CBS

Both transformations we’ve seen for him seem to be somewhat nonsensical. Stuff kinda just fazes into existence and from his bot mode. Very odd.

but still neat to see more of his design in some form.

 

Eh, looks slightly better from this angle. Still a little generic looking, but those abs and chest gaps in his armour are at least something kinda distinct. Would help if there was any colour variety.
