Y’know, the usual. Extra 15 unneeded steps during transformation and ten extra accessories that will only be used once if they’re lucky.

Due to the leaked toy that depicts his botmode with very different chest details, I'm still hoping that this is his introductory form and that he upgrades into a newer form during the course of the movie.
There's always a chance it's just based on outdated early concept, but I'm really hoping that the deteriorated grey aesthetic is temporary.

Probably to try to get kids into sports. They also probably ran out of SpongeBob and Loud House episodes to rerun.

Perlman has bragged about pissing on his hands before shaking hands with people he doesn't like.

I like how Prime's transformation just amounts to a shell of truck parts appearing out of thin air and enclosing him in. Wow that's bad.

Again, not a final animation as seen in the film. This is obviously just a quick half assed animation for marketing. Not sure why people are bothering nitpicking it. :banghead:

Nice to know he was doing research how to play a Gorilla character.
Yes, I’ve looked at that and the opening shot of Prime a lot and compared it to the Anfonsonation leak a fair bit.

Yeah the transformation here and in the film/trailer are way different for those that don’t remember. So the transformation here is not gonna be the one in the film if anyone was concerned about that.

    It’s economy.

And I find myself wondering just how economic Paramount wants these films to be.

Well you can say the same thing for every movie producers. It's their job to not let a production go over budget or derailed in some form or another.

After the 1st live-action TF movie, the transformation sequences got ever-diminishing "Wow!" factor to me. I couldn't care less by the time they invented Transformium. I think I prefer Paramount and Hasbro work far more closely to save all the money they can by simplifying the transformation so that the on-screen AND the toys transforms the same. I don't care about bots having 10K+ moving parts all at once. Taking 10+ seconds to transform just makes a bot vulnerable anyway (unless it's conveyed on-screen as slomo'ed)

Except these transformations are complete nonsense so the toys aren't going to be able replicate it. And the job more a movie producer is save money and make sure the movie doesn't look bad. Saving money is meaningless if the end product is going to look like shit. These transformations are janky.

Regardless, it's probably not something we'll see in the movie. Looks like something MPC quickly came up with for this ad. Well, at least I hope.

I don't mean I want the transformation to be crap. That's why I think those 10K+ moving parts that Paramount (or ILM?) love to boast about during the '07 marketing blitz are "money not well spent" to me. I think shaving full the rendering work & cost and 1) the audience wouldn't even notice the diff and 2) could make the fans happier if what they're seeing on-screen tranlsate in the toys (which this Primal ad isn't).

The transformations of these 2 OPs in the Nick NFL ads are probably a one-time thing. Are worrying about the ROTB movie bots to be the same.

It doesn’t at all. Also I don’t think it’s really fair to compare a transformation from a $200+ Million dollar movie to a quick Nickelodeon NFL ad.
