The transformation in the trailer from what we saw is both not the same and is also a little less janky and fudged that this one.

I'm not gonna disagree that Chalk should have been given a fair shot at the role, but Perlman is a great VA. He's not some celebrity stunt cast, the dude has a ton of quality voiceover credits to his name.

 

That Prime transformation was hilariously shitty.   Weird that Primal’s wasn’t that bad.

And yet his delivery in the trailer didn’t even sound like him.

 

Yeah and some main ones for me being Killer Croc in The Batman cartoon, Deathstroke in Teen Titans and Clayface in BTAS and the whole DCAU. He sounded better to me as Primal in the trailer with two lines than in most of POTP. As long as the voice director is good then he will be fine.

That would be mainly because like Prime and the characters in Bumblebee they modulated the pitch of his voice. Maybe a little to much but I kinda like that they carried that ofer from Bumblebee.

 

Only do tfw users analyze and nitpick transformations/animations when the general audience won’t think twice about it. Lol.

 

Oh yeah only the crazies like us are gonna be analyzing and care this much. Most seeing this during the game will either think it looks cool or think it’s neat and move on.

 

It’s a commercial. That is not the final transformation animation as seen in the film.

 

I mean... isn't that the point of a voice-over performance? He's doing a voice.

 

Also just like I said when you listen to it you can hear that that they either changed the pitch of his voice and or modulated the voice. Because you can hear the same with Cullen in the trailer.

That as well, which great point btw he did the sounds so differently in ROTF than TF1 and the modulation of the voice is a big part of that.

 

Are we going to ignore how the trailer render doesn’t have the light things as seen in this new commercial?

 

I’m not the best with these things but the lighting is similar for sure. And even despite that the render still looks a bit better than the shot from the trailer.

 

I’m talking about the lights. They’re very clearly not on his trailer render.

 

The movies have made me such a jaded bitch.

When I was a teenager I probably would've flipped out seeing these but now I just don't care. The designs could be incredible but if the movie itself turns out to suck then it's ultimately kinda pointless.

Shows even more that the opening scene of the trailer was very much unfinished especially since the Prime model was missing the square light pieces.

 

The angle of that is just odd. Looks like Prime's arms just disappeared.  

 

This looks like the work of NFL’s production team (i.e. the team that renders and animates their robot mascot) and not MPC. It’s cool, but crude and doesn’t make sense.

One of Prime’s best transformations was in AOE, Evasion mode after dropping off Cade Jaeger and his daughter at the gas station.
