Pete Davidson as Mirage? Like, Mirage is one of my favorite G1 Autobots, but Pete Davidson? Yeesh. That feels like something Bay would've done.

Michelle Yeoh as Airazor is perfect though.

 

You can say whatever you want about Bay but the voice cast for his bots was an absolute banger for pretty much all of the movies. And even if there was a big time celebrity, they were very competent actors like Hugo Weaving, John Goodman and Leonard Nimoy

 

From the way this Mirage has been described to us before, it is unlikely he is supposed to be inspired on his G1 version though.

 

He better bring that "Sleeping with your wife" energy to the role.

Awesome casting choice for Airrazor. I feel like there’s been a Michelle Yeoh renaissance of late. She seems to keep popping up everywhere I turn.

All I'm taking away from this is that, complain all you want, but all your saying is you're going to go see it anyway no matter what. You don't like the cast? Don't watch it! I'm not going to and it's not even because of the cast. TF movies are bad! This one will be no better than the last however many awful ones there were.

Honestly I don't mind Skete as mirage. Its definitely a case of stunt casting, but king of Staten island was a good movie that he led. SNL isn't that funny, but his skits are usually the ones with the best reactions. His cameos in other stuff has been decent too. It's dumb to write off the movie just because you don't like him, we haven't seen his performance yet and for all we know he could be the second best va in the movie (we all know who #1 is)

By the way, I don't get why everyone is hating on Chris Pratts Mario. Did we all forget about the Lego movie or smth??

 

Makes me think of The Suicide Squad. He was definitely cast both to see people’s reaction to knowing he’d be in it,

Actually, now I’m wondering if he’s been cast as Mirage just so we don’t get ticked off when they kill him.

As for Chris Pratt, I liked him in the Lego Movie. I like a lot of his work. He just doesn’t strike me as the voice for Super Mario.

 

Yup, 4 and 5 were a mess, people praised the generic bumblebee movie but really it didn’t have much of a bar to clear. What little is known, aside from the delay in release, makes this one look like a complete hodgepodge. Tf4 and 5 don’t have many redeeming qualities. Watched them all with the same buddy, and by the 5th he was leaning over and asking “what the hell is going on?” I had no answer.

 

I don\'t get why there is so much drama over the voice actors. I will watch the movie first then form my opinion. I am excited for this.

Good voice acting doesn't equal bad character. The direction is very important when it comes voice acting meaning that even good VAs can suffer from poor directing which ends up in a worse product. There's also the thing that VAs are not always available and there's plenty of paperwork going on behind the scenes to even recruit one. Also with different voice actors comes different takes that can make a character shine in different ways compared to the original in a good way. Just look at the many Megatrons over the years. If the same VAs always just stuck to one character imo media would've gotten very stale
