Indeed, he actually looks like Cheetor. I'm all for movie figures taking this route. I may actually buy some this time around.
I really like the UT-esque look to this and the mainline Airazor. Very fun and makes me want to try to think up repurposes although I'm drawing blanks right now.
I definitely can see this Cheetor and the mainline Airazor fitting in with the Jungle Planet aesthetic, or even as versions of the IDW comics characters from Eukaris, if you wanted to:
The initial images were transformed incorrectly. The forearm is two pieces, with the fur portion rotating up to fill in some of the torso gap in beast mode:
Yeah. I didn’t mind Kingdom Cheetor, but this release seems to eclipse him. You lose the articulated beast feet, but those often looked like he broke a bone, anyway. I’m amazed this guy even has an articulated collar:
Despite those ugly bronze colors, he could definitely look a lot worse. I also think the big blue Maximal insignia is a little much. Watch the Studio Series figure be another Airazor.
I have the complete opposite opinion on this. It’s been so long since I’ve seen a live action figure with an actually noticeable insignia that I love Cheetor’s giant insignia.
I must’ve missed that! But still, the majority of modern live action figures either have no or barely noticeable insignias.
