To be fair, someone said they didn't understand the hate for Wheeljack's design. I explained my perspective on it and then that was the end of it. The only people dragging it out are the ones complaining that it was brought up again.
True and what you did was the good way of going about it. Just I kinda hate when people bring up WJ’s head up out of nowhere in a thread not about him just to rag on it. Just idk I feel like sometimes obsessioning over stuff like that (that you absolutely hate and despise) all the time it can be a little unhealthy. Like how some obsess and constantly randomly hate on some movie or show they don’t like all the time (SW’s for example). But what do I know. True 100% but what is kinda weird about that is going by the trailer, things must have changed because Airazor’s SS wings are more robotic on the outside whereas in the trailer they are organic and covered in fur like the mainline Deluxe.
Have we even seen Airazor's bot mode in movie footage yet? Also, that's kind of irrelevant in context of the post I was quoting which said that it was the basic/mainline that was taking cues from the Kingdom figures and not Studio Series, which is the opposite of what's going on with Airazor. Definitely agree with you on that one, some people display an unhealthy level of hatred towards certain things within their hobbies and franchises they love.
Agreed (especially Star Wars fans). Just best to say I don’t like it, accept it, and move onto the stuff you like about that IP in in that toy/movie/show. Like I dislike WJ’s head but I still will admit/can say I love the body design and the van mode. Or say I like other designs in ROTB and WJ isn’t ruining that for me. Instead of constantly saying you hate something all the time (or at random times saying it). Basically I’m saying I don’t think bringing up ROTB Wheeljacks head in a thread not about WJ just to rag on it is healthy.
On the subject of Wheeljack I now wonder how much of the design he has in his mainline toy will actually carry overtime to his actual film design? I mean both Cheetor and Airazors designs in their mainline release don’t match up much if at all to how they’ll actually look in the movie so for all we know there’s a chance that while Wheeljack may still not have his BB head his nerdier traits be toned down a lot in his actual cgi model
Another possibility (though not probable) is that "Wheeljack" is a repaint/rehead character made for the toyline and I only bring that up as a possibility because we don't have packaging shots for the figure. Could be an alt head test shot or something.
I’d say similar but not 1:1 since he has full on door wings in his final design but still has the shoulder parts he has on this toy. I feel like the head will be the same but I’d love thwm to change it to be more WJ. I doubt it but I wouldn’t say no to that.
Oh I doubt it as well, it's just impossible to rule out without packaging shots or a clear look at his head in the movie. We've seen figures before with the wrong head on a figure (ER Skywarp head on ER Starscream for example) so it's rare but it happens
True your not wrong, hopefully either or both the mainline and SS can fit ER or SS BB Wheeljack’s head on the body. Cause if it can I’m likely gonna get the toy.
I don’t get the vitriol, the new engineering for the shoulders is more cartoon accurate and fixes the round gaps. There is shared engineering, but this has clearly been significantly retooled.
Likely yes which there is kinda looks better but angles and far away. Unless they somehow hear the feedback and change it but I highly doubt it. In our toy collecting sake I hope the balljoint size is right to switch the head out for a ER or BBM SS Wheeljack head. But now that’s getting a little off topic since the thread is for Cheetor.
