figure so nice he bought it twice Edit: For context, the duplicate post that this was referencing has now been removed.
Wow i really thought mainline rotb was gonna be as gimmick ridden as bumblebee 2018 toyline but it seems like they are getting the proper toyline deluxe treatment like cyberverse and earthspark. Hell the figures released so far looks like they can fit in properly with legacy
And I’m happy to see some actual proper Deluxes and especially Voyagers in the movie mainline again. Honestly I think as someone said could work well as pre-Earth beast designs or even Cybertron Jungle Planet/Eukaris designs.
It was kinda disappointing that Bumblebee 2018 didn't get to have mainline figures other than the gimmick type. Would have freed up slots for Studio Series.
This is the modern Cheetor we wanted. Tbh I'm surprised how good the ROTB toys look so far considering how low-effort they were with, sat, TLK's original toyline. Looking forward to seeing their take on Beast Megatron.
Agreed, it was disappointing to see. And hopefully for the theatrical Animated film coming also has mainline figures. Which like you said for BB will free up SS slots.
What am I missing? Where did all this “mainline vs SS” talk come from? The vast majority of Bumblebee’s entire movie line has been Studio Series, why would ROTB be any different?
I may get the van, but I think this is the first movie I skip (well, I guess I skipped all the cybertron stuff from BB). Don't care much for the movie designs thus far, and never liked the beast wars stuff from the start. I think after 16 years I am finally getting bored with Transformers.
Because we know for a fact that there is a mainline (that’s where the leaked Wheeljack and Nightbird come from for example) and a studio series line as well. This Cheetor looks to be the mainline deluxe and Studio Series will be getting a voyager.
We don't know but the fact is it actually is different. ROTB is shaping up to give us two different represantations of many of its characters in a mainline, as well as Studio Series. We have photographs of two different Deluxe ROTB Airazors already.
If this Cheetor is really poseable, I'm interested. I won't go all in on the ROTB figures - running out of shelf space and I don't like to put my toys in storage - but the ROTB mainline/SS reveals so far all look better than I expected. I'll probably get an Airazor too on clearance, it looks great and fun.
Long story short, the main line toys were scheduled for release alongside the original film release date of June 2022, when it got delayed hasbro had all these toys lying around that were simpler and less accurate as they were based on concept art (side note, the main reason we got studio series originally was because most of the toys that came out with their movies were made based on concept art, that usually changes in some way by the time the film released, making those figures inaccurate in some ways, look at Aoe Drift vs ss Drift for example). But studio series for rise of the beasts was originally planned for this year anyways as it would have been a year after the designs were finalised so hasbro are going to release mainline (not 100% accurate) toys and studio series (accurate)
