I think the likely caveat, in addition to likely using outdated concept art, is that they simplified the designs themselves for the mainline toys.
Are we sure it's actually a remold? Yes, it definitely looks similar in beast mode, but I can't really spot any parts reuse on the figure
What is up with the obsession with the ugliest and most bizarre uses of brown for the mainline figures? Are they trying to warn us that the movie quality is literal shit or something? Cheetor looks better than Kingdom but wow that brown is yuck.
I stand by my question of what the actual fuck happened with wheeljack if everyone else looks this good (even with the caveat that this is the main line figure)
If I get any of these, it'll definitely be the main line and not SS line. So far both this Cheetor and the previous Airrazor look quite good. My only real gripe with this Cheetor is the tail whip/sword. It just looks so awkward. I would definitely prefer the tail being able to fold up or tuck away.
Wheeljack as a toy I would say came out objectively good imo. It’s when we get subjective about the decisions design (not as a figure) wise that things become wtf.
Alright, so worrying thought. If this is the level of detail to expect from mainline, does that mean the less detailed figures like the first Airazor is the Studio Series version?
Lmao. Also idk if it was shared but the individual that has Cheetor shared more photos of him (and WJ).
