Sage looks good. I’m definitely in for Ryo but space is starting to get thin. Not sure if I can justify the whole team.

Really going to be super hard to pass this one by. I think it's safe to say that Sage has the most hip breaks of any Armor Plus Ronin, so making Sage next is probably a good strategy for Sentinel to get a high number of sales. Not to mention that Sage is my personal favorite of the group, and I think there are quite a few others who feel the same. Sentinel just might break me into buying this figure after all, even with having replaced hip joints on my figures.

Still, a little disappointed that it's not a Warlord we are seeing next, but at least the line is continuing...

That looks great! I'm really happy to see this line moving right along, at least in theory. The proportions on these look better in my eye than the Armor Plus line. As these come out, I'll move those armors onto the seated display dummies. I just hope we get some villains!

Well this announcement confirms that. Definitely going to sell off my Armor Plus collection now to collect Sentinel's offerings. So uh...If there's anyone looking for a full set of figures that haven't seen display and still have their hips intact, send me a PM. Otherwise off to eBay they'll go sometime this week.

I'm keeping my eyes on the Sentinel releases. Once Ryo reviews come in and they've maybe teased their third one I'll probably jump in.
The most important thing the Sentinel releases need to do is attach the skirt armors some other way than those ridiculous little black thingies Armor Plus and now LuToys used. Those things can be quite annoying :(

Speaking of LuToys, I'm starting to get a little worried. There's been no update on Ali Express for quite some time now, not just waiting for Anubis pre-order but for other items as well. Hopefully something didn't happen with that virus thing going around over there...

these figures look so good and have got me itching to rewatch the show. its been a few years, but was the origins of the white and black inferno armors ever actually given? i've read that hariel was an invention of the dub (not sure of its accuracy), but i dont recall an explanation ever being given for the existence of the black armor in the ova

So my question is this, why were these figures shown with 1000 Toys stuff? o_O

1000 Toys is the US Sister Company to Sentinel. Since most things Sentinel cannot be sold directly in the US, 1000 Toys works with Sentinel to make them available for the US Market.

IIRC, the base body is by 1000 toys.

Has anyone built the Doyusha kits? They look fully articulated and better than the Takara/Playmates figures but they're older so I'm wondering if they could stand in for figures. They're being rereleased this year.

I loved the removable armor from the Takara/Playmates figures but always hated how the spring action jiujitsu gimmick killed a lot of functional articulation, especially for the legs. Armor Plus was cool until the breaking legs and the armor didn't seem like it would remain tight if removed/replaced often.

The Sentinel Yoroiden Troopers look excellent but I have the same concerns for the armor and wow that price tag!

I'm excited about 1,000 Toys distributing in the US. At the $140 price tag within US shipping does that make it about even vs. importing from Japan? Makes it about the same as the later web exclusive Armor Plus figures if I recall.
