I kind of liked the toy. The only problem is it was not on the same scale as Galvatron. That kind of annoyed me back in the day.

I liked Rodimus Prime, more because he provided some humor to counter Magnus's gruff, grumpy 'tude.

Both of the toys for his characters Hot Rod and Rodimus Prime, sucked the tailpipe, compared with even G1 Optimus Prime. His knees bent, dammit! That beat Rodimus quite hard and proves that the molds from pre-movie could beat movie molds by a large margin!

Otherwise, though, Rodimus Prime as a character was very likable and did deserve a chance to develop more fully before pulling the whole "Return" thing.

    Eh.

Personally, it's the Energon Landmine/Landquake form that screams Rodimus to me. Imagine the right paint scheme and a new head.

So the Energon cartoon said that brave Sir Roddie ran away?
He bravely ran away, away? When danger reared its ugly
head, he bravely turned his tailgate and fled? Bravest of
    the brave, Sir Roddie!

I quite like the G1 Hot Rod toy. It's one of my faves.

The G1 Rodimus toy though leaves much to be desired. Alt mode is nice, but robot mode sucks, and what is with his facial expression?

E Rodimus was a nice surprise and a very nice figure, another of my favorites. Btw, did anyone else find it funny that the 500th ep of TFs has Rodimus beating Op in that holodeck simulation thingie.

I can't wait to get Excellion, but I still don't know why they didn't just call him Rodimus. Well, if Hasbro wants to keep the copyright to the name they have to use it every two years, so maybe we'll get a new Rodimus figure in the Neo G1 or Alternator line.

About the E Landmine/quake I'm not the only one who's thought of that, it's been banded about here several times, personally I think that would be a Botcon toy must have. There's a very resemblence there and easy colorations, it's a great mold, it's got a soundchip, it's a nice size, and you can even have two modes, a Hot Rodish, and a Rodimus. The story practically writes itself.

I know I sound like a broken record.. but if you want to call him Rodimus... he's Rodimus. It's what I do. :D

Energon "Downshift" is absolutely G1 Wheeljack w/ a makeover..

Wasn't that the one where nearly all the characters were in a tag team of 2?
Anyways, I would've liked getting that Rodimus Prime re-issue even though everyone says his articulation sucks. I mean, it would be nice to use as even a reference to, cause I am trying to make an MP Rodimus Prime kitbash.
Damn the fact I was filled with stupidity back in 2001 and 2002!
I should've gotten that re-issue! :banghead:  :banghead:  :banghead:  :banghead:

Yup, thats the ep. And Op cheated too. He tried to tag team again after he was already elimiated from his first tag team round. It's not fair that his partner got eliminated but he didn't just because he was Op and had another combiner mode.

A Rodimus kitbash would be very cool. I've never kitbashed anything so I admire people who can do it. It's going to be a miracle if I can pull of Quickslinger.

Rodimus I one of the few reasons I can still watch Energon. The show starts off slow and starts to get good when Rodimus comes in ep. 12-15. It stays good for a while, then when Rod becomes just another background character it starts to wain. The show goes on about ten episodes too long and Op makes some questionable command decisions. If only Rodimus had taken command at that point. ;)  But I like how Energon shows how Op and Rod can work side by side without one having to replace the other.
