Started this even before my Ultra Magnus custom. Just retooled the legs tonight. The original body was Red Alert. I decided on new legs because I didnt' like wheels showing in robot mode and felt he needed to be a little bit taller (although he was close).

Head is from RTS Perceptor
Lower Legs are from a Darth Vader crossover (mid leg)
and Boots are from some misc fodder (Power Rangers?)
Wings are from Energon Jetfire.

Still a WIP on the paint and vehicle mode, but I do have a trailer in mind.
The paint is a little darker on purpose, as I noticed in season 3 he's really more of a dark red.

More work on Rodimus Prime... still trying to figure out what
to transform his trailer into. Right now I'm thinking it becomes
some kind of war-shield for him but I'm not sure yet.

Oh, and I made it out of Universe Onslaught.

EDIT: I haven't painted the trailer yet, just primed it. And I know Rodimus needs some
touch-ups. Just getting the model done first...

I guess it could be used as a Jetpack or a mobile artillery unit.

 

I was thinking more of a power master rodimus instead of hotrod to rodimus(protector).
I cant tell how much of onslaught is left but it looks like you still have the feet. i dont think ive seen a power master rodimus on the boards yet.

 

Those are some really neat ideas. My main concern was to get a base-figure Rodimus to be fairly accurate and in-scale w/ my deluxes and Ultra Magnus custom, and get him looking good in both basic robot and vehicle modes. I'm concerned that if I tweak too much with this one that it'll ruin the overall vehicle mode, or worse, the basic robot mode.

Gonna sleep on it. Powermaster Rodimus is a GREAT idea though.

Just saw this - I remember SentinelSupreme was doing a really nice Rodimus Prime out of the same mold awhile ago, nice to see someone else doing something similar as it is a really good idea! What really sets this one apart though is the trailer! And made from an Onslaught - that's some really nice thinking  

 

Thanks! This one has kinda stalled right now, as I'm figuring out how to do the flames on the trailer better. But the sculpt is all done save for how to attach the trailer to him in powered up mode.
