Glad to see Wii-only gamers finally getting the single best rhythm game ever released.

Wonder what the songs on the disc will be though, espescially since odds are good there won't be DLC for it.

Pass. I'm very happy with my Guitar Hero, I can't afford to spare this much for one game, and I don't have space for it even if I did want it.

They do have the Wiiware, or whatever it's called coming, that's supposed to be the supplier of extra downloadable content.

    Awesome.
Fan fucking tastic news. Since my Elite basically gathers dust I'm glad I don't have to shell out for the 360 version. Sucks about the Guitar from Guitar Hero not being compatible though.

Pass. The more I read about this the more it sounds like it's gonna be a rushed port. The fact that you will be paying the same price for less features is also a hit in the negative side.

DLC is possible for the Wi (Acivision has stated they are working on a system for Wii for the near future) it just seems more about the publishers being too lazy to do anything about it.

True Nintendo still has problems to work out with it's online component but I'm sure some form of song download can be done when WiiWare debuts.

i might get it. my wife has been wanting gh3 since christmas but the wii version is still darn near impossible to find anywhere. if we don't see it by june i can see her wanting to splurge on rock band. if we do find it though, then i can't see it happening.

Any idea the reason the GHIII guitar won't work with RB? I always figured by the time I had three guitar controllers kicking around, at least 2 of them would be compatible for multi-player...

i think it's because activision specifically doesn't want the guitar controllers to work with each other. doesn't the ps3 one have the same problem, and sony has a patch ready and waiting for it that activision doesn't want them to release?

Not really. I don't like paying for games once I've paid for a game. And the price on the Playstation Network is too high. $2.99 a song? Pass. I'd rather buy a compilation disc with all the DLC songs, or all new ones, in a year or so. That's just me though, online gaming isn't really my thing.

Actually, it says they aren't sure if it'll work or not. It says it's because the RB guitar is a stand alone controller, while the GH guitar requires a wiimote.

You're not playing online. You've paid for the 40+ songs on the disc.

Thinking of Rock Band as a game is completely missing the point, Rock Band is a platform in and of itself. The DLC is an integral part of the experience as you can make it the game you want it to be.
