Although in the UK just rock band 1 + instruments cost about $300, add on the cost of a console and its a lot of money.

First songs (maybe) confirmed! Commence pants wetting, there's some GREAT stuff in here:

"Panic Attack" by Dream Theater or Finger Eleven
"Chop Suey" by System of a Down
"Give It Away" by Red Hot Chili Peppers
    "Everlong" by Foo Fighters
"Kids In America" by Kim Wilde
    "Ace of Spades" by Motörhead
    "Hello There" by Cheap Trick
"Anyway You Want It" by Journey
    "Pinball Wizard" by The Who

Also of note: notice the little icons next to the new songs are a "2". The DLC songs in the screen shot have what looks like maybe circling arrows indicating downloads. Could this maybe, perhaps, mean you can somehow transfer over RB1 songs which would then get a "1" icon? It's a stretch, but doesn't seem completely unreasonable.

That journey was one of the funnest songs to play in GHIII, moving it to Rock Band-dom is going to be splurge worthy.

    Also, Kim Wilde = :3

Awesome. Always liked that Rage song. Looks like a pretty decent list.

Hmm. To get Rock Band 2 or GH 4?

There seems to be (if rumours are true) a lot of crossover in terms of tracklists. If you haven't already splurged on Rock Band (and depending on what platforms you are intending purchase on) which instrument bundle appeals to you more? And is something like song generation is something you really give a care about?

If you're just gonna guitar up, then you should probably grab both as the music generation stuff in GH: WT is fully usable with just a guitar and regular ole headsets and USB mics can be used to sing with. If you're going with one over the other then E3 will probably have all the info you need to push you one way or the other in terms of sitting in only one camp.

Yeah I haven't gotten Rock Band yet, or even had chance to check it out for myself. Either way I'm looking to get it on the 360. I'm digging the drums for GH4 with the extra cymbol pads. I also like the idea of a music generator which I think I could do some cool stuff with my own personal expirience of making up music. The track listing is going to be secondary for me after looking at everything else being offered. So I guess at this moment I leaning more towards GH, but we'll see what they say at E3, maybe I'll change my mind. I have been looking into just getting the Rock Band Guitar pack for now because I like the track listing for Rock Band. That and I wouldn't mind trying out the online play as I can't do that with my PS2 version of GH3.

The Music Generation stuff in GH is supposed to be mindblowing and fully ready for you to do live solo performances with.

    CRAZY.

    Yay

These rumored songs don;t have many songs that I'm super stocked over. I think it might be a condition of there have been so many of these games a lot of the A list OMG songs have been used already. There are a lot of good bads on these lists but it's like there other songs.

Guess that explains why the DLC for RB1 has been pretty lackluster as of late. They've been holding back the good stuff for RB2.

And yeah, really hope they make the RB1 disc songs transferable somehow. Pretty much a must in my book.

You know what would be awesome?

    Rock Band:Aerosmith

Seriously though, DLC being compatible and no need to buy new instruments is very nice. And please get some Tool on there.
