I have an insider friend, and sadly, they are apparently selling pretty well. The only reason being the volume/price disparity perceived by uninterested parents shopping for their children....

 

I think Galvatron is just a code name for the wolf character like how Cyclonus was a code name for Galvatron in AOE's production.

Would be interesting if the wolf was named Weirdwolf.

 

if you look at a lot of "wolfmans" features, like the legs, torso and arms, he has a lot of Galvatron and prime megaton to him, so I could easily see this being as Galvatron... maybe the predecons are the main faction.

 

Then Fixit would've called them Predacons instead of Decepticons.

 

I think it's less about how much they sell, versus profit-per-figure. These things have got to be way cheaper to produce than the average transforming Transformer - minimal engineering or paint work, so they can probably have a generous markup for both wholesaler and retailers. That way retailers maybe pay for the whole case assortment by selling even one, and there's lots of room to discount and still make a profit if they aren't moving.

Just a guess though, mind.

 

You have to admit that AOE Galvatron does have some facial resemblance to this. I had wondered if this design was first created by Hasbro and then the AOE designers followed suit. In the movies, the Decipitcons do have a animal, feral look to them, FWIW

 

The head's shape looks rather uncanny to AOE Galvatron, perhaps that is the case but it could also just be the seller having a case of mistaken identity.

I hope his name is actually Weirdwolf.

I'm also disappointed that Hasbro continues to crank out more of these Titan figures.

 

This will mark the third time these have been sold in a line. I guess they sell better then people think they do.

 

All you're going to get here is a bunch of people who hate them saying they don't sell. I have no problem with them as the kids I know who have them love them.

 

I can support this with a friend I have who is in the know who says they do sell pretty well.
