Not into the Combiner Force figures (other than Warriors and Legions, if they count) but hey, some kid will like them.

That moment when you realize Energon did Powerlinking better in 2005 than RiD did in 2016! XD

Unfair comparison, the Energon toys were Deluxes, sold individually, and came from a point where the budget and parts count per toy were much higher.

These come in a two-pack, and seem to be roughly Legends sized individually. They're also built around the central gimmick of "crash" combination.

It's perfectly fair because Hasbro knows they can do better :)

Gotta love how the new Mini-Con bots have zero paint and a gimmick that just makes them stick their kibble out in vehicle mode.

My first front-paged post, and on Christmas Eve!
    happy me ^^
I didn\'t buy the sets, because I\'m not into the new RID (and because the danish prices are INSANE!) so I can\'t comment on... anything :-/

That moment you realize Takara did a better job with this exact style of combining in 1989 with Landcross/Multiforce, who had better paint jobs, individual robot modes, colors, and even better articulation.
    slowly clap

OH MAN! WE GOT A COMBO GOING! That moment when you realize G1 Combiners did Combination better in 1985 with Legends sized toys, used actual metal as part of the design, better individual robot modes, and STILL had better articulation! And I'm not even a fan of G1!

You'd think people who obsess over toy robots would have a better understanding of them from a business perspective, especially the one one that produces and sells them.

    But nope.

For what they are I think they are okay. Unpainted but looke like they might be little fun pocket figures. I want to wait and see if we get Warriors of the 2 jets first.

    Here's a business perspective:

Yes, you will make money off these crappy toys. BUT You can make a TON more money by knowing what the fans want instead of trying something completely new and left curve to completely alienate the current fanbase and consumer regulars. Why not keep going up and improving on engineering and detail? Oh man they didn't make more than 1trillion that one month? Surely they'll go out of business :/. Quality will ALWAYS trump quantity. Let new people see why we love the toys we got years back. Hasbro has been trying to scare us off by constantly dumbing these figures down.

    Business perspective.

I'll pay the inflated price if the figures continue to be creative and not cheap.

Hasbro should cater exclusively to adult fans. Children will recognize the superior quality of collector-oriented toys.
