Is the owner on these forums at all? Been trying to email him about a figure amd no response for a week
I ordered two figures from robotoybase.com and have not received a confirmation email nor have they responded to my emails. Im starting to think Ive been ripped off.
Update:. I received my figures with no issues. I also ordered an Encore Megatron from him. His concern was shipping it to the US in gun mode. We came to an agreement that he would transform it to robot and send it. I hope he didnt tear the box up or break anything.
Hello. Sorry to resurrect a random thread, but I just made my first order at Robo in a few years and had a question. I ordered a large MP they still had in stock and went with e-Express shipping since that was a listed option and about $20ish cheaper than EMS. I got an order update email that the order's still Pending (par for the course with them) but with a note that air mail services except EMS to the US are suspended, with a link to the HK Post site, unless I want to upgrade to EMS. That link (Hongkong Post - Press Releases (828)) indicates Speedpost to the US is active as of January 2022. A further link on that page leads me to a chart stating all vantage, Speedpost, and surface mail to the US is currently active but air mail is suspended. So is e-Express considered air mail, and that would be suspended right now? Or is it surface mail (or another name for Speedpost) and it's just a matter of waiting for it to be shipped out? I don't want to bug Tony if it's just a matter of waiting a bit, but I'm not exactly clear if I'm at risk of my order sitting for an indefinite period of time unless I eat the EMS charge. I figured I'd ask here in case anyone's ordered from Robo/Tony recently that could shed light on the matter before I ping him.
Disclaimer: I have no horse in this race; I am not associated with HK Post or the vendor and have no monetary stake in the outcome. I am familiar with overseas shipping. So I'm reading HK Post's web site (Hongkong Post - e-Express) and it says here: Current Service Availability of e-Express (Updated on 10 January 2022)Open/collapse The service is open to a total of 26 destinations as follows: Service Resumption on Key Destinations Continent Destination Asia China, Japan, Indonesia, Macao, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, South Korea and Viet Nam Europe Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom Destination postal operations are still under the influence of the pandemic and delays in mail delivery are expected. Hongkong Post would continue to keep close communication with airlines for air space supply and also destination postal administrations on processing inbound mails with a view to resuming the service to more destinations. Please stay tuned with us and visit our website for update. www.hongkongpost.hk/en/about_us/whats_new/service_delay_suspension/index.html ====== I don't know how much that affects you, but it's clear that "Speedpost" and "e-Express" are not the same and currently e-Express is not delivering to the US. TL;DR: Eat the EMS cost if you want to see your MP anytime soon. It's not something the vendor can do about for you, it's just unfortunate reality of the times.
