    Thanks for the renders Hakka!
Thanks. Sorry I don't have any other cg renders. I lucked up on these from another poster on this forum.
negative. From what I've seen in pictures though, it seems as the weapons (whether it be swords or hooks) replace is hands. Only the guns attach to the hands.
I'll try posting them up in that thread soon. Still working on prime......

Hopefully he will be done (without paint) by tomorrow or tonight. So far I've modified the wheels, leg panels, shoulder pads, exhaust pipes, and the whole back. Oh, and the feet too.

I'm too lazy to attach them again, but I had a few of those up on my custom prime thread.

    Thanks man!

Awesome. Can't wait to see this all painted up. :)

    Hey Mampy, kickass custom bro!

I think I'm going to do swords now. What color did you use for primes robotic parts?

I'm thinking of trying a flat black base with a gray over it and then go lightly over everything with silver. Did you apply a wash at all? I've tried a wash once and it was terrible so I never tried again

Here's the pics of the ball joints:

I just checked and I can't access all the screws without removing the panel.
I think the magnets might be a better way to go if you wan't them to be removable.

I just did another prime and I glued the panels to the edge of the main panel.

    Hakka.

I agree with you man. Personally, the arms are too big, the wheels arches are too big, every wheels on the figures is too wide, and the feet could be smaller........... lol but it's all out of my range. I would need hasbros mold machines.

That looks great. Can't wait to see it painted.

The only thing I would change is the lower leg, it looks slightly too thin. I would put the grey piece back in and mount the new blue panel on that. That should make the blue piece sit above the wheelarch like the CGI.

What did those mirrors come from??

    Hakka.

I agree it looks thin. I'm debating on bulking up the piece like I did with the foot pegs via apoxie scult or just leave it. For now they're fine but I might revisit that.

the mirrors came from a Revell 1:25th Scale Peterbilt 359 Conventional Tractor. The trailer hitch, chrome panels, and various parts also came from it. It's $20 for the kit. I found it useful.

Hmm, the swords have changed between the 2 movies, there's less glowing orange parts on the ROTF one.

This is lookin' better and better. :thumb

Some stuff you might wanna do:

I think you missed those pentagonal blue panels (with a single thin flame-stripe) near his buttocks.

Also, you might wanna just cut those large gray cylindrical things on his back so they look more like the CG model where they are smaller. Just add some red wheel covers from a Voyager Prime or something to represent the ones hugging his back in the movie.

You might also want to add the armor panels on the back of the forearms near his wrists, like what Hakka was trying to show in his pics:

    Thanks for the suggestions!

I'm definitely going to try to attempt the rear arm panels before paint.

I'm not sure about the blue panels near his buttocks or the blue panels that stick out near his calfs. I haven't found any where to attach both and both hinder some backwards movements.

Even though my voyager prime fender have already been destroyed, I'm going to try to piece together something like that. I really need smaller tanks though..........

Thanks closetrat for the sword pics. I still have to figure out what I'm going to do with that.

Regarding the blue panels - Maybe some sort of balljoints or magnets would work? :)

    looks amazing man !

Don't forget there's the wheel covers which form a psuedo-lower rib cage. If you look in the cgi models you will notice that the wheel covers are placed on either side of the 'stomach-grill'
