I did it all by hand (very carefully) with no disassembly. Only way I can see them getting disassembled is to pull the extra small pins. More trouble than they'd be worth

 

Nice work on those repaints (even more-so considering you did them by hand).

I think I’ll want to look for a more goldy yellow when I do mine.
Buzzsaw was my first cassette (and only one for a few years, up until Slugfest and Overkill, at least). So his toy golden colour is my preferred Buzzsaw.

 

Realize this is a couple of days old for a reply. But it's disappointing to see this price. Especially when FT had seemed to walk back the pricing on some of their items.

Even TCP has him for only $250 for the reissue preorder.

Hey I still have 10 days to cancel so this is still very relevant for me.

From what I can see the head on the k.o looks wider with softer lines, and as others have mentioned the blue is 1% or so lighter, I just have to ask myself if these things bother me enough to spend over double the money for the real deal.

I will probably cancel and purchase the k.o though to be honest, just having a hard time pulling that trigger but its just not worth over twice as much money.

 

Thank you. Yeah, I was considering adding some gold to mine, (have some that's a great match to the gold on POTP Predacons) but decided to stick with the yellow. I liked how it looked closer to the cartoon colors over toy

 

What other company does it? TT didn't do it with MP 13.

 

They literally did dude. Mp-13 only came with laserbeak and the others were sold in super overpriced 2 packs

 

LB is still much more desirable than Frenzy. With FT if you wanted any of the popular tapes then you have to pay an extra 100 bucks. Obviously most fans would prefer LB perched on Soundwave's arm than Frenzy. This is the point.

 

I don't mean tapes specifically. Every company makes dick marketing decisions. MMC made a Bruticus that defaulted to toon deco and made everyone fork over $70 for the much more popular toy deco.

The cadre of slightly obsessive FansToys fans that never remove the QC sticker as they feel it's integral to their figure and adds value.

Ironically, I buy into this and leave them on any figures I think might get moved on in future so that those fanbois pay top dollar and don't knock 20% off due to the lack of said sticker

 

I have carefully removed all of the QC stickers and saved them, and when FT finally release Cosmos I will completely cover him with QC stickers.

 

See, I would rather not have a green dot on my blue robot, and know the QC is fine since all the joints are well toleranced
