Here's my digibash, with Buzzsaw thrown in. Soundwave is amazing. Laserbeak is cool. FRumble are good, though the canons are a bit stumpy. Ravage, well, they tried.

I think it’s a smart move by Fanstoys to get a toon-accurate before Takara drops theirs (I assume). Badcube and Maketoys seem to do well with their MP Lambos and Seekers alternatives to fit the new aesthetic.

Plus on top of that, they can start finishing all those old reveals and slowly quiet all the “Where’s the Fanstoys (insert character here)” jokes.

People are unhappy when they don’t show any progress and people are unhappy when they show that they’ve been productive. Yeesh, Fanstoys just cannot win.

 

You know it's funny. Some people think a 3rd party company is there to fill in a character for the sake of completion. In reality they are a business and will make their own version of every character of the line. Some releases will not coincide with what you need at the time. For others it will.

 

The simple looking ravage probably means all the cassettes are included. Sweet  

 

Technically Fanstoys announced Soundwave first anyway. They finally get a chance to bring out their first full figure they wanted to release and it will look great next to the MP+ products.

The proportions and the head sculpt are a little off so he's looking more like a 1.5 than a 2.0 to me. But it does show possibilities for how the tapes could be handled at that scale. I think I'm more interested in the tapes. If it's really coming out in 2019 I'm guessing this is getting fast tracked before TT makes their move. I'll probably end up picking this up as a placeholder if we don't get a TT 2.0 tease before this ships. MP13 was demoted to the plastic storage tote years ago so my MP shelf has an unfilled position for soundwave. Here's a bash I started on him but didn't get to finish the tapes.

 

PREDICTION: The inevitable (but acceptable) soundblaster repaint will come with ratbat and buzzsaw.

 

Yea, head sculpt needs some work for sure, hope they tweak if. Nice bash!

 

Let me guess. First one will have grey arms and thighs then 6 months later, it'll come out in toon colors. Got it.

 

I like Fans Toys, I own the majority of there releases, but why bother imo wasting resources, when TT made a near perfect Soundwave? And, if TT is going to release a Soundwave 2.0 or a + version, why bother. There is a saying, do not spit in the wind and don't tug on Superman's cape. This will probably be another solid release, but it is going to be compared to a near perfect piece

 

As somebody who really, really, likes show accurate designs, this is an instant buy.

 

Dear god, that is beautiful.

 

They're for guys like me who like cartoon accurate designs, which is also why MP-44 is replacing my MP-10.

 

Too late for Blaster, I just picked up KFC’s...

 

I hope the size of these tapes is more like what MMC has done vs the small size takara did.

 

I really want that Ravage. I hope they release the cassettes separately too.

 

Relax, I never believe their ETAs

 

TT doesn't mean an automatic win these days.
