So it's confirmed that it's currently just AW coming. Not exactly unexpected, but seems to dispel that idea of them just holding back stock because of TFCon (why wouldn't they just crack on and produce the tapes ready for now?)

 

Because then you'd be waiting longer for AW? Things take time to produce either way, if AW is shipping now, it's because he's just ready to ship now.

 

Which is why I don't think he was ready for September and delayed because of TFCon.

The only other option where TFCon is a factor would be that they literally chose to have a barren September for that reason, which I also doubt.

So, I'm reasoning that it's simply just a shift in timeline due to reasons. One of which is not TFCon.

Sorry, I guess I misunderstood what you were responding to with your initial post.

 

A convention has no delaying effect on a figure. All the other COVID19 related shenanigans do. Acoustic Wave is slated for release end of November, according to my distributor (I am a very small scale local seller, in case you are wondering how I know).

 

No problems. The medium of the Internet doesn't always help. I suppose it was two things... First, absolute confirmation for those wondering if the tapes were on track (i.e. was it just AW that was delayed), and Second that it appears that it's simple priduction slippage and nothing more (because it makes no sense to deliberately delay AW because of TFCon and TT niceties, unless a) the Tapes are coming too because they have a stack of AW from the end of September and have beenmaking tapes in October, or b) they bumped them both by a month but released something else first).

 

AW is released tomorrow. It might be November in the States, but my UK retailer will have their stock next week and I'll have mine in hand hopefully by 5th November.

The TFCon info was Facebook speculation about coexistence alongside TT if they'd just released an A-tier character. Speculation I don't agree with, for the reasons I've mentioned.

 

I should have worded it more clearly, the end or November (so 3rd or 4th week) is when I will receive what I ordered, with Acoustic Wave being shipped either the first or second week from the distributor.

 

Makes sense seen as they are the same bot...?

 

I love the movie so much that would actually be an acceptable explanation on their part...

 

It was delayed because FT had to source Walkmans from Japan.

 

I have most of AW paid for, I will have my preorder at TCP paid off tomorrow, I can't wait for them to get it in!
I'm super excited for this release!

I hope the tape set isn't too far behind but I can deal with whatever happens with those, I just really can't wait to get my hands on AW!
