The stimulus ran out. Party's over for now. We'll need another "crisis" for things to go crazy again.

Now that FT stuff is easy to get, I just want to cancel my POs.

“Stimulus”, that’s so 2020. Everyone in the know calls them “hiring bonuses” now. I’ve been working 4 jobs to stock up on Spindrift 2.0s. TFSource warehouse finds of the future!

With that many bonuses you should have been able to buy every single spindrift 2.0 on the market. Save some for the rest of us, guy!

FT raised the average price of their figures, which cooled them off. No point in scalping now. (just my opinion)

While I could never find a model that's exactly like Soundwave I believe he is based on the Sony M-80.

Easy to agree. New decades will come, but the 80s retain it’s glory. After all, the best humans...Ups!...The best things were created in the 80s. ;)

That could definitely be where they got the microcassettes from, yeah. Soundwave's shape and door placement still looks much more like the WA-55 and WA-30 models though. And that M-80 model notably lacks an eject button (you have to pull the door open manually), which was a prominent feature on Soundwave.

I'm gonna guess the designers at Takara were much less invested in random electronics than they were in cars, so whereas they had absurdly specific cars in mind when developing their car-based toys, they probably just had a vague idea of a blue and silver Sony cassette player that blended together elements from various different models.

Bombusbee just put up the full price as $160. Ffs I wish I'd kept my preorder with them now instead of going with OmegaLock which is way higher

I have been wondering what Bombusbee would announce as the full price.
I certainly didn't enjoy the wait.

Yep, and plenty of others seem to have been not enjoying the wait either :D  I cancelled my preorder when they kept upping the price of some of the previous releases, not to mention when I ordered Pheonix, they raised the price considerably and then tried to include an extra bit on top that they said was going to be discounted. I'd be happy if they opened another few pre orders for this one though :D

TFS-Express China had this price up immediately. Omegalock factors in the vat, so if Bombusbee send it and you get snagged at customs, you'll pay the same or more than with Omegalock.

I've started to chop and change (saved a load on the dinos recently by going TFS-Express) but when I calculated TFS-Express versus Omegalock for this, I think once I factored in the foreign exchange charge, and the rate, I could possibly save 20 quid or possibly pay more by 10 quid (depending on vat plus admin charge). As it was pretty even, I went with Omegalock. For the dinos, though, I'd still have saved money even with vat (using cheapest shipping option).

I now cost this each time I'm buying.

$160 plus Bombusbee estimates USA shipping as $15 to $25. That is a relief as I recall a few figures needing more like $40 to ship.
This is my first Bombusbee PO so I'll be pleasantly surprised if it ends up being another great bargain and not a slow-motion train wreck of surprise extra costs.

That's true about OL's pricing. Whenever I've had items from Bumbusbee they never have a customs form on them, either that or the royal mail label that it comes with in the end has covered it up. I am not sure how they do it really
