Idk, I guess I find the idea of playability being brought up funny when usually everyone tells me that's not what Fanstoys is about. If playability is what they want to add with the figure, go for it, but give me more articulation and non-hellish transformations as well, otherwise playability in one place matters very little.

I dunno- I guess it depends on the definition of ‘playability’.
Wanting a Bee movie Bee, I ended up getting 3A Deluxe Bee, simply because Transcraft doesn’t seem reliable. While the 3A is hefty, magnificent, articulated AF… but I can’t call it fun. Which is why I purchased MPM 12. At least it has some “play” value. But if I want to keep getting upgrade kits to do what HasTak should have done I might as well go 3A.

I go back and forth on that.

I guess I know it's FT and they aren't gonna prioritize waist swivel either way, might as well have a gun holster!

I wish it did have better range because from what I've seen in the videos and pics it looks like it doesnt have any kind of waist swivel.

Roadking did have butterfly joints, but yeah in general FT's figures aren't the most articulated.

Better range than nothing is technically better.

For people looking for G1 toy accuracy isn’t the lack of articulation a positive?

No he's not. The G1 toys are now so floppy, they are too articulated for my taste ;)

You're just too rough with your toys man. My OG1 toys are pristine. Crisp clean joints like the day they were rolled out of the factory....

Ok even i cant finish that line of bs. Every single one i own is tight where it should be loose and loose where it should be tight....heh also an apt description of an ex or two;)

For toy accuracy probably but for toon accuracy I think he needs a bit more range.

I still don't like those metal joints in the arms. Looks really out of place. Also don't care for the other metallic gold on the chest and metallic buttons

I don't know if "playability" is really the right term. It's more of a "coolness factor".

You've got a cassette player that turns into a robot. Its cassettes turn into little minions. And its batteries turn into weapons. That's just a cool conversion. The fun comes from seeing one thing become another thing. You know, the central appeal of transformers.

Whereas MP-13's weapons turning into...pods grafted into the cassette player's back??...was totally bleh.

I guess I’m more playability centered since I actually mess with my figures, so I want my figures to be fun and enjoyable (transformation included) and have articulation and whatnot. So cool looking bricks that suck to get from point A to B rarely get my interest.
