No doubt in my mind. It will likely be a FT limited version.

 

So I really thought the waist swivel was limited, but after looking closer I think I was wrong like I mentioned earlier. I do agree that even if he has limited movement in that area it would be plenty to pose Soundwave the way he typically looked. If you look in some pics it's clear that the overhanging portion of his back is set back with a gap from his waist that it appears like it would pass the corner of the waist giving him a lot of rotation. Furthermore, if you look closer the overhanging portion is hollow and the bottom is made of a separate hinged bracket which would give him all the clearance and more! I'm pretty sure waist rotation is not and issue at all for this guy!

The disrespect for Buzzsaw, tho. I mean, he came with the G1 Soundwave toy, but got basically kicked to the curb in all media after that. To relegate him to coming out with a re-color of Soundwave (yes, I know Soundblaster is Soundwave reformatted) is just sad, IMO.

Plus, that way, anyone just bothered about Ratbat has to buy Soundblaster, and anyone just after Buzzsaw has to buy two minor tapes on top of whatever else they likely need.

Remember, all of those tapes are Soundwave tapes and appear in S1-S3, predating his reformatting, so if they did it legitimately they'd sell us a nice neat package and then Soundblaster on his own. Not happening!

 

FT is certainly no stranger to repaints and redecoes (just look at the metric asston of Dinobots they did), and Soundblaster is one I don't see them ignoring. Which the lack of Buzzsaw I have a feeling has something to do with, to boot.

 

It looks great and especially that Ravage. And where is Buzzsaw?

 

I just want Ratbat. If I have to buy another figure to get him, so be it.

Divinecomedy: Well, Optimus didn’t have a huge backpack like MP-44 in the cartoon.

Me: You never saw his mouth, where do you his voice came from, smart guy? And if you look in the background of episode 15 of the second season, frame 241 and cross your eyes after you’ve stared into the sun, his backpack is that size. Toon-accurate! Toon-accurate!
