I know blue text and all but really? Paying 25-40 bucks for shipping from China to the States is too much?
I think the joke is that a lot of American buyers like to pretend that fees and shipping from the East somehow make up for the massive disparities between what we pay here in the West and what we'd pay if we weren't being scalped by middle-men.
As promising as this looks, I'll probably wait for the inevitable Takara 2.0.
Taobao sellers have stated in the PO listings that RP-01 Soundwave will be about 880 yuan ($136) or less and the RP-01B tape set will be about 550 yuan ($85) or less.
I'll be cancelling a BBTS preorder for Acoustic Wave in the next few minutes, if anyone still needs to get in a PO.
I mean, they undercut list price and then charge shipping fees well in excess of other CN Etailers. Not sure if you've tried ordering with them before, but 25 to 40 bucks is a pretty optimistic estimate. I've been quoted 70 on lighter figures than what I imagine this toy is gonna weigh.
So it can break in your hands?
Tbh both will probably have as good a chance to break in your hands looking at how easy some FT figures go.
I think i might of just got it! Went on bbts as soon as i saw this thinking it was too late and there it was...the golden opportunity. Got the preorder and as soon as i checked if it was sill available, boom. Sold out. So glad i got onee
Is it just me or is there no waist swivel on this?
It apparently might only have like, 5 degrees of swivel.
Yeah its limited by a lot but it's there.
Perhaps but let's be honest, Soundwave isn't known for agility or dynamic action poses. He stands there, looking stoic, commanding his minions and doing Megatron's bidding. Soundwave is all business.
I don't think it's limited at all. That's about the most waist swivel I'd ever need.
That's because it's fast shipping, though. I paid about $30 for Sovereign last year (so pandemic shipping costs), buy I could've chosen a more expensive one if I'd wanted to get it quicker.
I know that last year they had some issues with getting the cheaper services to certain countries (but not others), due to covid.
Bearing in mind I've bought from them in China and the UK, my experience is that the UK cost is the China price plus costliest shipping plus the UK VAT we need to pay.
That means that if I choose a cheaper shipping method, even if it happens to not slide past customs, I'm better of slightly. If it dodges customs I'm winning by miles
Nah its there for sure. I can see the cut
It’s just blocked by the mini-fridge hanging onto his back.
Since i'm back in the collecting game i primarily order with TFS-Express. Mainly i order FT figures and the shipping quote to Germany is usually 20-30 bucks, maybe even less.
I don't know the going quotes for the States but i've added Aegis to the cart, chose States and California and 21-39$ is the shipping rate the system spat out.
I'm not a TFS-Express Defander but for me as a german customer this shop is the cheapest and the fastest option. ShowZ and baba are cool, too.
