I've been toying with these for a while and I still haven't finished them, but because it's Wreckers day (TPB released today) I thought I'd share.

Here we have Impactor, Kup and Springer modelled from a combination of Fimo and Apoxy Sculpt. Springer is lurking in the background as his arms still need detailing.

Is Apoxy scult the same thing as mighty putty/green stuff?

Also, was kup a wrecker in G1? It's been so long...

Make molds and sell the set and you will be legend. Rotorstorm, Ironfist, Guzzle, Pyro and an oversized Overlord would kick so much ass.

 

these are incredible, i love robot heroes.

 

To work with, Apoxy Sculpt is softer and takes 2 hours to harden, whereas Green Stuff seems to stick to anything but you only get 20 minutes or so to shape it. The Apoxy also seems to be quite good for filing/scraping down to a smooth surface or sharper edges.

Lots of love for the newbie Wreckers eh? I think they may have to wait in line behind Perceptor   but anyone wanting to throw their oar in about who should come next is welcome to add their 2c.

I like the sound of that, may have to experiment with it myself.

Really good job with the wee heroes, I actually think they capture the characters better than most of hasbro's attempts.

 

I do have a lot of love for the shortlived newbies. You had already said you were doing Topspin and Twintwist and Roadbuster and Whirl are a given right?
Maybe a Sandstorm or a Broadside or Rack-n-Ruin.
Hasbro did Perceptor so sniper upgrade time!

How can you not love the Wreckers? My friend summed up Last Stand like this: "It's like what the Expendables is trying to be."

Nice surprise to find this thread resurrected this morning as I was passing through the interweb.

I did actually finish Springer who is currently languishing in a Christmas card box with his fellow Wreckers and I have half a Topspin in my bedside draw. Things came to a bit of a standstill as I wanted to take time in casting them, but other projects got in the way timewise, but I do intend to return to them at some point. I'll have to dig them out and cast them, and the HoS Shockwave, and do a (very) limited edition run.

 

As i said before put me down for a kup and springer although you know if you made blur the movie autobots would be complete XD
