So is this Open & Play under a different banner, or is this an improved KO of Big Spring?

 

Looks incredible, just new face and better colours made huge difference   So this KO of Open and Play Big Spring ? Or Open and Play and Robot Hero is the same company ? Or they all have connection to Tranform Element, Black Mamba, Deformation Space  

 

Robot Hero should have worked on upsizing their Soundwave (Pony and Little Partner) to scale with MPP-10. That makes more sense than KO of Open Play.

 

So, could they make a KO of their Galvatron with better paint too please?

 

That looks like fanstoys apache's head to me. Got to say that's best of both worlds in my opinion, I own apache and he looks great but he's not much of a fun figure and is pretty delicate whereas big spring has a pretty nice transformation and is durable but has such an odd head.

 

Can I just buy the face?

 

I wouldn't complain if they also redid Big Cannon in OG toy colours...

I've always liked the sculpt on Big Spring but the chest not tabbing in and the headsculpt were the only downsides on the figure. Glad RH KO'd this with a better color scheme & the head from the MMC version? Looks like it to me.

 

Open & Play is now receiving the KO treatment? Yowza. (It's a shame they disappeared. They only made two toys, but they were GREAT toys.) I wonder if this is a sign that O&P is returning and bringing their kind of work back to life. I'd love to see more MPs made the way their Springer was. He's probably the best of the 3rd party Springers. No die-cast to worry about chipping and he still weighed a good bit. (Honestly, he's my absolute favorite Springer toy, ever. I just got away from MP.)

 

Definitely going to get this. I had a lot of fun with the original OP BP despite some of its shortcomings. I did have a lot of fun transforming it.

I always thought Big Spring had the best body but worst head/colour shades of the 3P Springers.

And then boom this happens, and thankfully by a company like Robot Hero.

 

If I remember correctly, the Open & Play is rumoured to be a joint effort between DX9 and BC, to sabotage FT's corresponding releases.Now with both BC and DX9 gone, the chance O&P come back is slim.
