Pre-registration is now open for RoboCon 2021 to be held at the Galt House hotel in Louisville KY (same location as Botcon 2016) June 18-19. Several packages offered:

• Full registration including Botcon pre-party and Wasp Raider action figure $138
• Registration including only Botcon pre-party $78
• Registration with no party or toy $28

Also a custom class, one from 11am-3pm and one from 4pm-8pm, limited to 26 seats apiece, $85. The figure will be the old Thrilling 30 Chromia in a Shattered Glass Blackarachnia color scheme.

 

Read that fine print you don’t get that wasp raider at the show mails out in July.

What do people think of it? I have to say... it's... not the prettiest thing I've ever seen. I confess I've already thought up at least one halfway intriguing alternative idea.

Sell me on this, I guess, is what I'm saying. Shattered Glass Beast Wars Uprising is... it's like it's one too many spices in the soup, if you get what I mean.

 

So, I personally love the hell out of this toy. I think the colors are beautiful and soft. Her face is popping. I'm not bother by the SGBWU mash up. But I am very biased towards BA so take my opinion with that in mind.

 

Well, I procrastinated too long, I just went to buy the tickets and I see the custom class has already sold out. Ah well, I still really couldn't get into the concept this year.

 

I notice the Shattered Glass Beast Machines Megatron is the Earthrise Doubledealer in Optimal Optimus colors.



Airazor and Rattrap seem to be based on Grimlockimus customs of Kingdom figures in the colors of Slipstream and Scorponok.

 

i don't think grimlockimus did a sg rattrap, or at least one similiar to the 2 shown

 

Thought it was this one. Never mind. Maybe not.

So anyone who is going next week looking forward to a Parts Party?

 

Did they ever post a vendor list for Robocon yet? I couldn't find anything.

 

Speaking of parts parties. Add-on kit for Studio Series 86 Grimlock at the Megatoyfan parts party next weekend.
A soft goods apron and 3D printed & painted bowtie and neck gap filler.
Limited to 25 pieces with apron
10 pieces without apron (for those that are better with creating and handling soft goods than I am)

Cool set for the Grimlock.  

We don't have any exclusives items ourselves, sadly, but we will have over 10,000 TF parts to choose from. (I've been building up over the last year)  

We also plan to set up the room Thursday night for anyone who is coming to the show early.  

We run a buy, sell and trade party so if you have anything you want to unload or if you like to do a little horse trading, then we hope to see you there.

 

I typically always find something I'm looking for in your parts parties, so I'll be sure to swing by! I still got a couple of incomplete items to make whole, myself!

 

I'll tell you what I'm looking for, on the outside chance somebody has it and wants to part with it... United EX Airmaster. The Takara release of Power Core Combiners Skyhammer. (Skyhammer himself won't do, it's got to be Airmaster.) He came in a 2-pack, I don't need the other figure but if you've got it sealed I'm not opposed to buying it sealed, or trading for it if I happen to have something comparable you want.

 

I've got a list of figures needing parts myself that I'm hoping to fill.

While I do have some Japanese items, I'm afraid I don't have any United ones. Maybe one of the other vendors will have one for you. I still invite you to stop by the party and see if we have anything else you might be looking for. Who knows, maybe someone will bring an Airmaster in for trading.
