    we knew they were going to work on the new series, but didnt know it was CG.

    I thought it was just rumours last we heard of it, this seemed more like actual confirmation.

    The Series is gonna be CG?!?!I knew it,Just hope the animation is way better than Energon and Cybertron.

    cybertron's CG models were fine, but the animation outside of a few episodes was awful.

    We knew that Orci and Kurtzman were going to work on a new TF series, but I certainly don't remember hearing about it being CG.

    If they can pull off something on par with Clone Wars then I could easily see this becoming the best looking transformers series ever.

    I don't know how I feel about that. I remember BWs cgi was expensive to make character models. While the upside to that is more focus and character development for the main cast, I like to see lots of robots :) 

    I hope mainframe is doing the cgi! That would be cool.

    Orci and Kurtzman can help make a good movie and entertaining story - as seen in the new Star Trek movie.

    The fact that the new series is being produced in the US is a good thing from the story PoV.

    CGI can be a dealbreaker in this day and age... but CGI has gotten a lot cheaper and easier to do since the days of BW (and there are a lot more CGI animators around). I will be absolutely thrilled if we get CGI that's on par with the WFC trailer.

    Overall, looking forward to more info.

    AANND here we have the beginning of the pre-release irrational ragging against the new show despite knowing nothing creatively about it other than the names of 4 people involved and a character.

    I myself am curious to see what they can do without Bay's interference.
