I'm more an Addams fan than a Munsters fan. All the best anyway.

Rob Zombie is legitimately the worst pick for something like The Munsters. Rob Zombie has never made a movie where I was surprised he directed it. Get ready for white trash Munsters with an F bomb in every sentence. Also, I’m not sure it’s the best idea to hire a guy who said he hates remakes unless he thinks he can improve upon the original. Which is a statement I’d ordinarily agree with, but then you also remember this is the same guy who remade Halloween 1 and 2, and he thought he actually improved upon what Carpenter did.

Yay, another movie that feels nothing like the show. Munsters should be light comedy, not some dark horror film like it probably will turn out to be.

Yeah I’m 25 and I remember seeing reruns of The Munsters and The Addams Family on TV Land when I went to my local barber for a haircut

Huh, I'll probably give this a shot, but honestly don't think he's a good fit for something like The Munsters. Unless he reimagines it into something more... horror-esque? Don't know how I'd feel about that honestly.

He’s just a terrible director he lacks subtlety, he lacks the ability to put together a coherent or a cohesive plot and everything he’s ever done is derivative as fuck.

This guy is just such an unbelievable fucking donkey.

I'll be the contrarian and say I think he's the best choice they ever could have come up with.

I loved the Munsters as a kid, but let's be honest. It was basically not much more than a cheap Addams Family ripoff. And the show had its time and place, that can't be replicated. Remember the 1980s reboot, Munsters Today? It was fucking dire. As bad as the Andy Dick Get Smart reboot. You can't go back to that original light comedy formula. It won't work now. It definitely won't work better than just watching reruns of the original series.

So they need to find a completely different angle. And what's more different than making something awful, ugly, gross and uncomfortable? And furthermore, what could possibly be more uncomfortable than seeing a foul-mouthed and nude Lilly Munster as portrayed by dyed-hair, covered in dirt and wounds Sherri Moon Zombie, who clearly thinks she's decades younger than she is? Enter Rob Zombie.

Elvira’s going to be in this. Aka Cassandra Peterson. Oy... is it possible this thing might be anything under an R rating? She’s never done anything rated R (to my knowledge) and almost always does comedy.

Precisely because it isn’t a different angle. Rob Zombie is a one note hack. That fact that you know exactly what the “angle” is contradicts your point. It isn’t “different” all. It’s more if his same crap cause the guy has absolutely nothing to say as a filmmaker outside of the fact that he really, really, really likes Texas Chainsaw Massacre and bell bottoms.

If I'm a fan of films made a 100 years ago you can expect some younger folks to be fans of a TV show made in the 60s.

And yes, I am under 35 years and I know what the Munsters are.

And Rob Zombie? I'd say he should stick to his music but I never heard anything from him.
